I liked this hotels location as it is exactly what I want on a weekend away, peaceful and relaxing with shops near by and somewhere nice to have a stroll. it is a bit industrial looking on to the harbour but we didn't mind that. The only thing I would say about the hotel is that because it has been... more

We booked this hotel on 2 separate nights: one when we came in off the Ferry and one for the night before an early sailing home. All I can say is, they appear to have ploughed all of their funds into the downstairs bar and restaurant areas, but forgotten to update their awful, old fashioned, dirty, smelly rooms. On our... more

The staff couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful and the food in the restaurant or bar was pretty damn good too. The bedrooms however need a bit more effort. We were travelling as two couples and ere allocated two rooms. One was right at the top of the staircase and we were disturbed by other guests going to bed... more

Hi all We went away for the weekeng to "Best" western hotel in rosslare. Arrived @2.30,checked in (met the most unwelcoming, unfriendly, unprofessional woman who had no manner,no smile)and went into the room, the smell hit me straight away. Went to wash my hands no running hot water, tired the shower,no water! Went down to reception, told the wagon this she said she would look... more

Have stayed two nights with friends. Room very small, bathroom was small as well. What hit me was that bathroom mirror wasn't clean! It was very hot in the room and we could open only the smallest part of the window. Very small choice for breakfast and I had only cereals and toast because I don't like full irish. Dinner... more

This place is perfect if all you want is a clean bed as close as possible to the ferry. Staff are a bit scarce but when they do appear they are very welcoming. Wouldn't recommend this as a holiday stop but I would definitely check in again ahead of an early morning crossing. more

An incredibly disappointing place to stay. Beds were extremely uncomfortable, rooms were incredibly noisy, warm and stuffy. We didn't have high expectations of this place, only booking it to serve the purpose to rest and recover so that we could continue our journey throughout Ireland. However the beds were incredibly well worn so it was extremely uncomfortable to sleep on.... more

We stayed here in August 2008 and had a room with balcony. Great views over the port and we spent hours watching the ships come and go and the motorists drive off and on. Biggest problem was with the vegetables - all 3 days we had the same - mashed potato, carrot & swede. Oh, one day we had more... more

Our family of seven from Asia were visiting Ireland for the first time. The reception we received on arriving after a long journey was cold and regimented. The two rooms we reserved were smelly and dusty. Breakfast the next morning is not worth much comment. However, the service from restaurant staff was sub-standard and again cold and unfriendly. My family... more

We spent the last night of our holiday at this hotel because we had a ferry to catch early the next morning and there wasn't much else available when we booked. The room was dirty with a horrid brown blanket on the bed. We had a balcony overlooking the port but the chairs were filthy. We were above the bar... more
