Clifford house is in a beautiful setting with amazing views and the most comfortable guest sitting rooms I have ever encountered. Room 2 is my favourite which is L shaped with a double, sofa, room for a camped and cot if needed and a lovely bathroom. Best of all are the views from this room and the lovely porthole round... A sunny day and a sunny welcome ( despite being early ) Margaret is a template for all accommodation hosts. Very good position ( 2 mins from the ferry ) lovely views, close to walks, I could go on for a long time. Its an extremely well run B and B and I would have no hesitation in recommending it.

We stayed here for one night in order to catch the ferry early in the morning. After traveling around Ireland for a week and having received a friendly welcome and hospitable atmosphere in every place we have stayed, we were surprised to have been met with an unwelcoming reception at this B&B. The room was clean and a good size... More

Margaret was the perfect host providing tea and cake on our arrival. The accommodation was lovely, warm and welcoming with a wonderful view of the sea. I loved the little extra touches left in our room such as the bottled water and jug of fresh milk to compliment the generous supply of biscuits, tea & coffee provided. Clifford House B&B... More

We stayed here on our first night in Ireland and our last night before getting the Ferry back to England after a two week holiday in Southern Ireland. Margaret welcomed us with tea and cakes in the lovely lounge overlooking the sea. Our room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. The grounds were lovely. Just a shame we could not stay... More

Stayed for one night with my wife and newborn son pre-ferry. Clifford House was perfect. We were greeted and offered tea/coffee on arrival. The ensuite room was very comfortable and fresh. The views both at sunset and sunrise were awesome. There is a cliff front walk that passes right in front of the B&B. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious.... More

Clifford House is a beautiful character house in a stunning location. It sits on a cliff above the (unseen) ferry terminal looking out to sea. The house has the bonus of a lovely garden from where you can take coastal walks. Although most guests would use Clifford House as a stopover for the ferries the surrounding area merits a longer... We stayed at Clifford House on 13th June easy to find from the ferry terminal. Room no. 8 was upstairs , nice cosy room with sloping ceilings, so slightly cheaper. We were met by Margaret who offered us tea, coffee and home made cake and biscuits that were delicious, we sat in the lounge. Just out of the garden gate is... More

When we arrived we were greeted by Margaret and were made to feel really welcome. The room we had was spacious, clean and had a view over the sea. The grounds were a real pleasure, and so was the coastal path for a nice walk after a long journey. We stayed here as we were catching the early ferry. The... More
