This is my 4th time at the Botleigh Grange for a meal as part of an organised group. Usually staff have brought us menus and been extremely helpful. On this occasion, we had to seek out the menus ourselves (after being there over an hour) and we were pretty much left to our own devices. At no point did anyone... More

My daughter treated me to afternoon tea , of which I have had many ! We sat in the garden which was beautiful but there the praise stops . The tea pots were dirty and of poor quality (one had beach huts on the other cup cakes - more in keeping with a low end tea shop ) . The... More

This hotel needs a significant amount of money spent on it and also needs to focus on training its young staff. Accommodation is poor given the price and the food is of low quality and over-priced. The decision to keep the hotel open while modernization continues is unfair to paying customers.

The staff are rude both behind the bar, and at reception. The room rates are ridiculous for what you receive, I paid £135 for a bedroom, smaller than another guest who only paid £70. I was lied to about room availability as on booking I was told only the £135 were left, yet upon complaining, I was told I could... More

We attended a wedding recently at the Botleigh Grange Hotel. The grounds are very well kept and picturesque. The spa was very clean and the receptionist friendly and helpful. Food was good. Our room was a bit of a disappointment however. The dated decoration was in need of attention. The net curtains (net curtains!!) were dirty and grey. The headboard... More

Hi. First night here and so far so good. The hotel is good rather than great! But the staff are attentive and I'm enjoying it. "Hotel prices" so quite expensive. But people seem to be enjoying it. One feels very relaxed here and the gardens are lovely. The entrance to the hotel is impressive, doesn't quite live up to it,... More

We decided to stay here as they do this wonderful package Dinner, Bed and Breakfast with car parking included plus taxi to and from the cruise terminal. It has huge grounds with a lake filled with water lilies and a vast expanse of lawn with lots of lovely pansies blooming. You would have to be careful here if you had... More

Attended a wedding here and stayed for four nights before embarking on a sea cruise. My car was parked at the hotel for the twelve days of the cruise. It was good to know that it was in such hands. Excellent cuisine available.

I booked a single night stay at the Botley Grange Hotel at the last minute via Laterooms for £70 for room only. This was apparently discounted from £170. I think that £70 is far nearer what I would be happy to pay to stay here. It is set in nice surroundings and has a good professional but relaxed atmosphere. Like... More

We visited this hotel for an afternoon tea, it was such a lovely relaxing experience. The staff were welcoming on our arrival and very attentative during the duration of our afternoon. The sandwiches and cakes were very good, a great varied selection. The drinks were regularly replenished, thank you to all the staff, you were all very busy but provided... More
