This hotel is located in the 'bad' part of Waterford city but is within walking distance to all the main shops/pubs/nightclubs. The rooms are adequate, breakfast was nice and the foyer and bar are very modern. Waterford is alovely place to visit esp Hook Head, Dunmore etc. more

My husband and I stayed here last month. I have to say that we were very pleased with this hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location is fantastic, walking distance to everything, not that you need to leave the hotel to eat or drink. Theres a great bar and a fabulous restaurant with a very impressive menu, the... more

Hi all, Stayed at the fitzwilton for two nights in the suite. I have to say only for the room I would not be a happy bunny at all! the suite is worth the extra cash if these points were in place. 1. Breakfast was dry and disgusting 2. The windows in the suite need to be ripped out and... more

This hotel is another one that caters for the tour bus trade of middle to lower class yanks, who dont smoke, drink or enjoy themselves, cos they cant afford it, having paid out all their savings to return home to the sod, regardless of the fact that they didnt have ancestors here since Christ was a child. No smoking hotel,... more

The Fitzwilton was located right over the bridge as we entered Waterford. It had been recommended by an Irish friend and so we were very excited to get a very reasonable price. It was a very good value for the price we paid, but we were a little disappointed in the room. The furniture was a bit tired although it... more

We stayed here at the commencement of a trip around Ireland. We had no problems with the hotel. The room was very comfortable, great shower, decent breakfast and very friendly staff. The only drawback is having to lug bags, a pram etc from the underground car park. I don't understand why they did not include lifts when they built or... more

We stayed in this Hotel the Easter weekend, for two nights. It was a fair price at one hundred per room. When we arrived at the carpark we were abruptly told via the intercom that the car park was full, and cut off. After double parking and dragging bags in the rain we checked in and were told that the... more

We stayed here for 1 night for Skyfest and were given a fab large room with a nice view of the river. Bathroom is a little on the small side but more than adequate. Excellent shower! We ate in Chez K's attached to the hotel and had a superb meal, albeit a bit noisy with a large hen party group... more

Stayed here with pals for 2 nights. The hotel is near the river, slightly away from the main night life area. Convenient for Railway Staion. Warm welcome on arrival although it was pretty late. Staff helpful and friendly throughout right up to arranging departure taxis for the airport. Modern clean room with decent sized bathroom. Ate breakfast in the hotel... more

Stayed in the Fitzwilton for the weekend of 6th March with 23 other girls on a hen party. From the time we checked in the staff were very friendly. We got into the bar to be greeted by "Gerry" the very friendly barman. He rang a "niteClub" for us and reserved tables, the name was Revolution and was very good.... more
