Staff on check in were very nice and all the other staff we spoke to. aoaur room was very basic and I found very strange is that there were no drawers in the room at all which is a first for me. A group of 13 men stayed in this hotel while on a stag do in Waterford. I could not fault this hotel as the staff were very pleasant and the rooms are lovely. If your looking for a nice hotel that's good value for money then you don't need to look any further.

The Fitzwilton has a modern feel and is located in the old part of Waterford - very close to the many pubs along the river. The rooms have a bare bones feel and ours was over the street so the traffic noise was persistent until late in the night making a restful night of sleep impossible. The breakfast was adequate... Thank you for your comments reviewer; I am sorry you did not enjoy your visit. As you did not dine with us I am unsure as to what aspects of service you are referring to.All hotel windows have to have a safety lock allowing them to open a max of 6 -9 inches and not 1 as you point out.... More

Not great, not terrible. I'm not sure there is a lot of competition, but the hotel was very plain - decent enough. The bar food was ok. The breakfast wasn't great and was overrun by a bus tour folks. The neighborhood was sketchy.

I booked this hotel as it claimed to be 4 star - Unfortunately it was far from it. While it was clean and friendly, the decor was dull and dated. Our room was clean and bright. There was tea and coffee facilities, and all that we needed. The tv left a lot to be desired - the channels had to... More
