Very nice hotel and friendly staff, my husband and i stayed 25/7/14 for one night. we had a drink at the bar before going for a meal in waterford, the round was cheaper than three other pubs in waterford and my husband said the Guiness at the hotel was a nicer pint all together. That may be because the Guiness... More

Recently stayed here for a break away. Lovely hotel but had to take away stars as a result of the heat in the rooms!! It was unbearable as there was no air con.We were told the air con in the rooms was broken but I do not think it was there at all as there was no where it possibly... More

Stayed for 2 nights in July and was pretty disappointed. The car park is a nightmare. The spaces are too narrow and there are pillars everywhere. While the staff were nice and helpful, the hotel and rooms need a lot of work to get up to a four star standard. Would not go back in a hurry.

Stayed for a midweek break in the Fitzwilton hotel 'yum yum' deal. The hotel is very well situated, the staff at reception very friendly and helpful explaining places of interest and marking them on a map. The room was very compact and very very warm, although bed very comfortable the room was just too warm to sleep. The food choices... More

My wife and I stayed for 2 days in the Fitzwilton. The check-in was fast and the room was very satisfactory. We ate in the Chez K restaurant the first evening and the meal was world class, particularly the beef cheek. The service was great, especially Iain. Would recommend the Fitzwilton to anyone staying in Waterford on business or to... More

I stayed here for two nights in early July, the rooms were nice and very clean, there is free wifi on the room ,which was a nice touch, the staff were all very friendly and helpful, but the real selling point for this hotel is restaurant food,it was probably one the nicest meals I have ever eaten, and I have eaten a lot,the attention to... It's not easy planning a driving tour of Ireland for 14, when you know a good location, a great meal and secure parking is required. However from an early contact the Fitzwilton staff were most helpful, including setting aside a secure parking area for our cars under the hotel. We were slightly worried on arrival when we were told our... More

The hotel was nice and clean, friendly and helpful staff. Rooms a nice size. The only problem with the room was the bathroom, well the shower was the problem. It was really high up on the wall so you found it difficult to get wet. The food was really good. Well worth the money. The other problem was the area... More

We found the staff to be warm and hospitable, the room satisfactory and the restaurant better than we expected! The breakfast was not particularly exciting, only two choices of cereal, and the strangest marmalade. Yoghurt full of poppyseeds - bit weird. Neverthless, we enjoyed our stay, and had a brilliant experience at the Waterford Crystal factory.

One night stay - we were 4 in a 2 bedded room - size just about ok. Arrive early to secure parking, we only just managed to get in.
