This is an older hotel and it shows but the rooms were clean. the food at the bar was ok but a bit over priced. The hotel is in a nice area and you can walk to shopping. The downside is that the hotel is so old and that the do not have parking. the only parking is pay parking... more

A great boutique hotel. We stayed there for a long weekend with another couple. I have to sa, the staff were excellent. extreely friendly & couldn't do enough for us. The Bar has a great atmosphere & the restaurant s very reasonably priced with a great menu. The Rooms are spacious & really clean. It is right on the river... more

Dooley's is ideally located if you wanna get about Waterford City on foot. While there's a 5.50 charge for the car park directly across each time you use it, I left my car there for the whole weekend as we were able to walk everywhere. The staff were polite, smiling and helpful and eager to be so. Room was spacious... more

I stayed in the hotel with my girlfriend and found the hotel perfectly adequate for what we wanted. The view was the only thing which left the room down. Our room was at the back of the hotel so our view was of the other rooms adjoining the hotel so my only bit of advice is when booking to request... more

A group of us stayed here for a weekend. dinner in the restaraunt the first evening was served cold to 8 out of 10 of our group and when highlighted to staff it seemed like a big deal to heat it for us. The second evening we decided to have food in the bar, big mistake, the food was terrible.... more

I visited for one night as part of a guided tour of Ireland. The hotel is dated but has been lovingly maintained. It was nice to stay in a hotel representing the "old Ireland". The staff was very nice and the dinner/breakfast were quite good. The rooms are dated but clean, although there were no screens and had a minor... more

we booked the Hotel over the phone, for 2 nights. when we arrived at the Hotel we were only down for 1 night. When asked if we minded if we were moved to a smoking room we thought sure why not, aren't all rooms going to be the same size - apparently not. the Room was extremely small - should... more

This older hotel is close to the quay. We walked along the water after dinner. The food was absolutely excellent and the dining room had nice atmosphere. Staff was great. They handled one insufferable member of our tour with tact. I sincerely hope they don't judge all Americans by her conduct! Our room was large and comfortable. We had no... more

I was on a CIE Tour of Ireland and Dooley's was the worst hotel on the 15 day tour. All of the other hotels were wonderful. Dooley's is charming and has character, but it is very outdated. The rooms have no air conditioner or fans and the duvet is very heavy. We had trouble sleeping because the room was sooo... more

Just back from 2 nights in Dooleys. The room we had was at the front of the hotel right above the entrance. As this is on the main road it was very noisy at night. The heat in the room at night was unbearable. There was no air conditioning or even a fan. That coupled with the very heavy duvet... more
