We stayed here as our jumping off point for our Ireland vacation. The hotel is in a good location, and there is a convenience store located just a few doors down. Plenty of parking across the street for a fee. The room was large and clean. The bathroom layout was awkward (i.e.:the blowdryer is over the toilet, the radiator is... more

I only stayed overnight here on a coach tour, but it was extremely comfortable and I would certainly go there again if I were in Waterford. Location and food very good and staff pleasant and helpful. Recommended. more

I did appreciate attention to my special diet but the food in general was not too good. Roast potatoes had leather jackets. Cold water tap on bath did not work for two days after reporting it and a very wonky table in the room. They could give more attention to detail as it makes a holiday. more

We stayed in Waterford as a jumpoff spot for several nearby sights. Dooley is a swanky hotel with a decent pub just across the street from the train station and parking facility. Although Waterford wasn't our favorite town (bleak and grey, with a limited nightlife), the evening hotel staff were extremely courteous, the rooms were clean and neat, beds comfy,... more

the room, which all four of us stayed in, was fine for our needs although one of the single beds was lumpy according to my daughter. window looked out onto a backstreet of Waterford and because we needed window open because of warm weather, was a bit noisy from occasional partygoers below. It was a Saturday night and we were... more

We were able to book this hotel from the Tourist Office two doors down from Dooley's Hotel on the same day that we checked in (July 4/09). The clerk at the Tourist Office gave us the rate she had and then said we could walk in and get a rack rate from the front desk to compare. We did this... more

I just returned from a 3 night stay in Dooleys and was pleasantly surprised. I read reviews that it was dated etc and although it is, its in a nice way. The decor is very homely. I stayed in the Fitzwilton the last time I was in Waterford (2mths ago) and although the penthouse was gorg, it didnt have the... more

My wife and I travelled as part of a coach tour to Ireland and stayed for 3 nights at this hotel. The room was comfortable and met our needs. As part of a coach tour meal times were non negotiable, you had to eat at the time you were told to. We had to sit with 8 other people, which... more

I attended a party there last week and I have to say this hotel was great. It was value for money, the food was gorgeous (a nice room service menu) and the rooms were lovely and comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful at the reception desk. Breakfast is great very reasonable and gorgeous if only they served it a... more
