Where to begin? Foxmount was the first - and my favorite - place we stayed during two weeks in Ireland. It was perfect. The property is just gorgeous - the photos don't do it justice, partly because they don't show the evidence of loving hands everywhere. The house is stately and charming. The breakfast is completely to your personal order.... More

I first stayed at Foxmount in 2005. It was the first B&B I had ever stayed in and it was the highlight of my trip. I was eager to show my friends this place on their first trip to Ireland. We were not disappointed as it has retained the charm and elegance that I remember from my first trip. The... More

Margaret is a gracious host and the home and grounds are beautiful as you arrive from the long driveway. The house is even better from the inside; if you like old houses this one will be s treat. Our room and bed was very comfortable and breakfast was, once again, served in a very pretty room. Although, this accommodation is... More

Foxmount is everything you read about in the overwhelmingly positive reviews so rather than repeat it all here, I will write instead of the unexpected treat we had--interacting with little David and Lucy, Margaret's grandchildren. Our 16 year old daughter was thrilled to have David lead her through different parts of the farm, introducing all the animals, petting them, hearing... More

Foxmount Country House was a delight to stay at from the moment we arrived in pouring rain to be greeted with hot tea and cakes. The room we had was very spacious with a double bed and two single beds which were very comfortable. The house is filled with historic grandeur which is complimented by the superb welcoming service of... More

We spent a wonderful 2 nights in this beautiful home of Margaret and David and could not have had a better introduction Ireland. Margaret was the most gracious and caring hostess and was most concerned when we became lost. After that slight hiccup we were welcomed with a much needed afternoon tea and were then shown to a beautifully appointed... More

Foxmount was probably the best B&B we stayed in whilst working on our latest trip to my homeland. We arrived very late and were looked after straight away, it was very clear from the moment we walked in how well the old house is looked after. I was shocked to hear in the morning at breakfast that it had been... More

We just returned home from a ten day trip to Ireland and our night at Foxmount House continues to be a highlight of our trip. A warm welcome from Margaret, tea in her beautiful sitting room, a walk out to see the horses. Spent some time with her sweet grandchildren, seeing the chickens and walking through the garden. My husband... More

Recently spent two nights here with two other couples and found it to be a wonderful place. Margaret was a great host and her years of experience showed. From scones to fireplace, everything was well organized and all her family were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was excellent with plenty to eat. Heather was quite willing to take time from... We stayed here for 2 nights as part of a couples tour of Ireland. A very warm greeting by Margaret on arrival. Offered us tea and scones in the drawing room. Very beautiful home and grounds. Each room was very spacious and immaculate. The breakfast included choices of Irish breakfat, french toast and the unique porridge with Jamieson soaked raisins. Delicious!!... More
