Not the easiest place to find but the first look at this B&B makes the search worthwhile. Margaret Kent is a very polite and gracious host. As soon as we arrived, she offered us tea and a chance to look around the house, the yard, the barns. This is a working dairy farm run by Margaret's son. She has been... more

This was our 2nd stay at Foxmount in the past 2 years and the service, charm and true hospitality can not be out done. Mr. & Mrs. Kent will treat you right. If you visit Ireland without a stay at Foxmount, then you have not truly enjoyed Ireland. From the linens to the breakfast..It's all 1st Class. A stroll to... more

My husband and I ... as well as my parents thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Foxmount Country house. The property is just outside of Waterford ... and although a bit hard to find ... was in a nice location. The rooms are big, bright and very clean. Modern bathrooms and comfortable beds. The sitting room and dining room are also... more

After doing a lot of searching on TripAdvisor to select a B&B near Waterford I decided to take the plunge and go with the Foxmount Country House -- that was perhaps one of my best decisions for the whole trip. The Kent's were incredibly gracious people who truly made us feel like honored guests in their beautiful home. We arrived... more

What an unexpected joy we experienced at FOXMOUNT! Margaret and David Kent are among the classiest, warmest and most gracious hosts in Ireland! We were a group of seven weary travelers who were treated to the most exquisite foods.... the lovliest and most well-thought-out accommodations..... as well as much additional ancestor-tracing help from the Kents in their library/solarium .... The... more

This is a refined home built in 1740. The rooms are perfectly decorated with very comfortable beds. Margret recommended a great location on the harbor for dinner. After a fun dinner, we retired to luxurious bed coverings for a great night's sleep. The breakfast was one of the best of our trip with dishes featuring produce from the farm. This... more

Suffice to say, we were also very pleased with the Foxmount House. We were in the Buttercup Room (twin beds) that was somewhat unusual in that you stepped down to enter it, but that was not a major distraction. We took our host's suggestion and went to the Suir Inn at the nearby village of Cheekpoint -- a small but... more

This was, by far, the best B&B we stayed at on our two week trip throughout southern Ireland. And while we only stayed two nights, I wish we could have stayed longer. The hostess (Mrs. Kent) was gracious and kept an immaculate home. The rooms were large and extremely clean. The beds were espcially comfortable after a long drive. The... more

Definitely stay here if you're visiting the Waterford area. It is "story-book" charming! Relaxing and comfortable, and secluded but very close to town. Don't miss Jack Meades pub, just down the street. more
