An accommodating host. Room had lots of flies, buzzed during the night and kept me awake. No tea and coffee facilities in the rooms and none in communal areas so dependent on host to be around for a cuppa. A tea was just what I felt like before settling in for the night. Lovely breakfast although times a little restricting:... more

My husband and I stayed here recently for one night - we eventually stayed in 8 manor homes/castles over the next 8 nights and the Foxmount Country House was our favorite. It is spotlessly maintained, the breakfast will easily last you until dinner the next day, the setting is perfectly bucolic, but what makes the Foxmount a five star destination... more

I found Foxmount Country House on tripadvisor, and the reviews are spot on. The house is in an idyllic setting with gracious hosts and well appointed rooms. The welcoming tea and morning breakfast were delicious. I would definitely stay here again should I return to the area. more

David and Margaret Kent graciously welcomed us into their beautiful Georgian home. The bedroom was beautifully appointed and we enjoyed looking around their beautiful property, although a persistent drizzle set in. Margaret told us of their many years of renovating the house from its decayed state when they first bought it, to its current magnificent state. It obviously has been... more

from the moment that Margaret welcomed us in with tea and homemade cakes[very comforting after a choppy ferry crossing] we felt at home; beautiful spacious bedrooms, an elegant drawing room with open fire and a breakfast to set you up for the day- especially the homegrown rhubarb. Difficult to believe that this peaceful haven is only a few minutes from... more

We stayed at the Foxmount for one night as we made our way from Dublin to County Kerry. We had a bit of trouble finding them, but Margret was very patient in explaining on how to get there. Once we found it, it was absolutely awesome to come down their driveway and see the stately home come into view. David... more

Unfortuately when we arrived the landlady wasn't in and someone else let us in, explained she was out and showed us to our room (without even checking our name!) We put our bags in the room (pleasantly furnished with a small shelf of books with somethign for everyone) and wandered to the lounge where we were offered tea. The lounge... more

We stayed two nights at the Foxmount House. Margaret Kent is a welcoming, professional, warm hostess . Her Georgian home is spacious and lovely. The grounds are gorgeous. Great country setting...good access to Waterford area. Breakfasts were absolutely outstanding and she had wonderful suggestions on where to go in the area. Room was furnished in pine, white linens, and everything... more

Beautiful estate with large gardens. The Kents are incredibly welcoming hosts who are warm while also being discrete and inobtrusive. Homemade scones and muffins are a treat. Try the rhubarb (served with a little yogurt), which is grown in their garden behind the home next to the working dairy farm. The breakfeast is elegant and delicious. Tremendous pride in their... more

Margaret and David Kent are warm and friendly yet dignified and professional. Their home has a lovely decor with just the right number of personal items (such as family photos) around that you are reminded these are real people with lives beyond that of inn keepers. Our room was enormous, with a sitting area that looked out on a large... more
