We decided to stay in Waterford for the night at the last moment. Searched Trip Advisor and the Granville received high marks. They deserved the high praise. Room was impeccable, clean and not crowded with furniture. They have a pub downstairs along with a restaurant for a wonderful breakfast. It was nice to stay in a place with so much... More

Very nice, classic hotel, stylish, excellent location, staff very efficient and helpful. Meaghers Bar service total confusion, seemed like a disaster was imminent until one particular waitress took over to save the day (Sorry, I wish I had your name, you deserved a medal). Food quite average when it finally came, probably a local pub would be better. Good inexpensive... More

My husband and I stayed here for a couple of days on an 11-day tour of Great Britain. The hotel is beautiful and full of wonderful history. The room was gorgeous with a great view of the quay. The food was wonderful with a fantastic atmosphere. I'd love to go back and stay longer.

I am tough on hotels I fly 150,000 miles a year and stay in hotels 20 weeks a year. This hotel is exactly what it said it was, what it should be and what the town requires. Waterford is a nice working class town with some lovely preserved sites and a nice central location. The Granville is a shining light... More

I stayed here on business last month. No complaints with the room. Typical old Irish hotel issues...having to pull your suitcases up a few steps on the way in and between floors also to your room. However they offered assistance with this if you needed it. Service in the bar and restaurant was prompt, food was good. Its location is... More

We stayed here for one night on our Ireland round trip and enjoyed our stay very much. This is the best hotel we slept in on our entire trip. Very nice staff, clean rooms which are very spacious and decorated so nicely. Waterford is a cute town, with nice restaurants and bars.

Just back from a weekend in the Granville and all I can say is it was an absolute pleasure. From the outset it was a pleasure to deal with Fiona in the front office who helped me with everything I needed with the booking and including flowers in the room on arrival for my wife. Mary, our waitress at breakfast... More

We stayed at the Granville to do some family history searches as my wife's family came from Waterford. The hotel is very traditional, kept very clean and the staff are happy and professional. We ate in the restaurant one evening and the food was very good. I have a Gluten intolerance and this wasn't a problem to them at all.... More

delighted with our choice of Granville for a weekend break. Lovely room looking out on the quays. very convenient to city centre. easy parking. wonderful breakfast.delightful staff. only negative was the poor sound insulation between rooms. at times, we felt the people next door were in the room with us and they were not being unduly loud.
