We've just returned from a 4 day break in Waterford. It's our 5th time at the Waterford Marina. This time we were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary so what a lovely touch to receive a note from the hotel staff congratulating us with some complimentary fruit and chocolates. We'd taken a special bottle of bubbly with us and weren't sure... More

Room was average but bed was very hard and uncomfortable for sleeping. If you are North American and used to having washcloths, the front desk requires a one pound deposit - not very good customer relations, in my opinion; other than this, the staff wer very pleasant and helpful. Being on the River Suir, we were able to see the... More

Good location, lovely staff and enjoyed the food .the room was a usual hotel room ,my only complaint was the bed was very uncomfortable so the first night was fine but i could hardly get up the second morning and i couldn't have slept in the bed for a third night. Other than that I would certainly recommend the marina... More

My wife and I stayed for one night in August this year. We booked through Booking.com and thought it good value and in a good location directly on the river. All main attractions are easily walked to. The room was a good size and overlooked the river. We took breakfast at 10 Euro each and thought it was OK. I... More

My wife and myself recently spent two very enjoyable days at the marina hotel in Waterford. Upon arrival we were greeted at reception and were made welcome. Our room was impeccably clean and bordering on four star quality. Although the hotel is within a short walk to the town centre, we couldn’t hear any traffic noise and most of the... More

I stayed here for one night (not because I was in a rush to leave, I only booked one night). Super friendly staff, full of information about the surrounding area, and even said they'd open the kitchen up again because we'd missed dinner. The hotel itself, perfectly fine, nothing that makes it stand out massively, but nothing that would make... More

We stayed for three nights and luckily for us were given a massive family room with quayside views up and down the river - it was just perfect! The location was great-just a short walk to the centre of Waterford, with a few good pubs enroute! The breakfast was superb, with a reasonably priced bar snack menu too. Although the... More

Close to the Viking Quarter, Museum and Waterford Glass Centre this hotel has a pleasing outlook onto the the river from the restaurant and most bedrooms and is easy to get to from the ring road. Free covered parking is included for all guests just a short walk from the main rear door to reception. If paying by credit card... More

Waterford is one of the oldest City's in Ireland, fortunately the same cannot be said of the Waterford Marina Hotel. Many modern hotels can become "plastic palaces" but fortunately that cannot be said of the Marina Hotel. Staffed by both Irish and immigrant staff they are friendly and incredibly hospitable, nothing was to much trouble from the front desk, through... More

A quiet location a short distance from the main shopping area. Sitting on the banks of the River Suir. In the good weather one can enjoy a drink on the veranda and watch the boats passing. Quite idyllic. The rooms are of ample size and most face onto the river. The standard of house keeping is good. All the staff... More
