What a warm welcome from Joan and her family at the Castle Country House Hotel, she is just lovely! We were shown to a "fine big room" and then served scones with rhubarb compote, delicious! Castle country house is slightly hard to find but once you get there the warm welcome from Joan makes up for it. Our room was at the front of the house which had lovely views out over the gardens, it was very clean and the bed was amazingly comfortable, the best nights sleep ever!!
