We stayed at Aughris House and spent time at the Beach Bar. The lodging is top notch. Very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent! We spent the afternoon and next morning walking on the beach which is right out the front door. The restaurant had good food and we stayed at the bar all night. I would highly recommend eating,... This is an authentic bar/restaurant in a perfect location by the sea.. Cosy and quiet in winter, buzzing in the Summer yet maintaining its atmosphere, which makes it a great local and a true gem for visitors to this part of the world..just follow the signposts and prepare for a nice surprise you can recommend to friends...we love it...at any... Attended here for a special occasion and family meal. Came over from London to see family. The food was absolutely amazing, fresh ingredients and great portion sizes. (Couldn't eat all my main as I had had a starter!) Everyone was more than happy with their food choices and the service was fantastic. We we're seen to straight away and looked... More

We stayed at Aughris House two days and found it very relaxing. We found a wonderful cliff walk just down the road with spectacular scenery and no crowds, and St. Patrick's well near the end. We enjoyed walking the beach, picking up rocks and best of all, not having to drive anywhere for a couple of days. The Beach Bar... More

Many thanks Darren, family and all the staff for making our recent visit so unforgettable. Scenery was beautiful, people fantastic, music brilliant and a special thanks to Mary for the fantastic cooked breakfasts we had each morning. Would recommend this location to anyone who wants the best that Ireland can offer, absolutely nothing is too much bother to ensure that... More

We stayed here for one night as it's on the 2013 Photo Rally tour. First off, its in the middle of nowhere but that's a good thing. The room was nice and the view fantastic. The room was clean, and well equipped with lots of storage, a good TV but I didn't find the bed very comfortable. I'm 6ft and... More

We drove here from enniscrone and the location is amazing! It does lovely food and has what could be a private beach right beside it. Well worth the drive out and if you caught it on a fine day, u would easily spend the day there.

I brought some French friends here this summer after discovering it the previous year. Stunning scenery and a very quaint, old-fashioned, thatched pub & restaurant. Very friendly service and delicious, local food. A real treat.

This location was amazing. The bar/restaurant is steps from the rooms and the beach is steps from the bar. You have no need to go anywhere else, just settle in and stay awhile! The local people were very inviting and provided great conversation. The food was delicious. It was one of our favorite stops in Ireland.

A group of us stopped off here going around Ireland ( The Tipp crowd as they called us). 2 of us had been there last year and we brought a few friends. We had dinner in bar to start which was lovely and we all hoovered it up. We then had drinks and the craic with the local lads at... More
