Their brochure and website say it all; "A world beyond hotels" and "the first design hotel of its kind in Ireland - a glittering beacon of quirkiness and colour". I think they are so far "beyond hotels" that they have actually forgotten that they are a hotel and that the people staying there are paying customers! They over-promise and under-deliver.... more

Having stayed in the glasshouse on a number of occasions I recomend it highly, its location in the centre of Sligo town, makes everything very accessible. The rooms are fantastic, staff very efficient and friendly, with excellent food, and superb rates. Anybody visiting the yeats country should really give it every consideration. more

The Glasshouse is a retro 1970's style hotel. It looks great, but unfortunately this is all it has to recommend it. I spent one night there in May 2007 and will never go back.
