Hotel was friendly especially child friendly, staff were pleasant. Room was large and had everything a guest would need.Pool was good for our 10 year old.Plenty of variety at breakfast, but this was let down by dirty breakfast plates and cereal bowls.Hotel convenient for the exploring of County Sligo. Would recommend this hotel.

The rooms are beautiful and great value. The hotel itself has a great presence and is located in an easy place to find Food is lovely and the staff have always been very friendly and helpful every time I've visited Absolutely love this hotel. Facilities and grounds are brilliant too.

The Clarion Hotel is perfect for families with toddlers but don't consider it for a quiet break with a partner We visited with older children and still found it a bit crazy with all the young children around. Breakfast in particular was hard going with toddlers running about the place. On the subject of breakfast, the quantity of food available... More

Stayed for 2 nights family break - family rooms are excellent separate living area - hotel is well maintained, excellent food, excellent service, friendly staff. Kids enjoyed kids club and leisure facilities. I made use of the treatment facilities and enjoyed an Indian Head Massage. Would recommend this hotel for a family break really enjoyed our staff and will be... More

The hotel had lots and lots of very small crying and or generally noisy children running around everywhere, and i do mean everywhere , bar included. This may be ok if you have a young family? definetly not fine if you are past the screaming tautrum stage of family life. Food is just about ok, if you can get past... More

We spent 2 nights here in this rather large fine old building. The room was a good size and it had a link to a sitting room and kitchen, which would be very handy for a family. Our room was a fair walk from the front reception. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We dined in the restaurant and... More

We arrived at The Clarion on Sunday evening. The hotel exterior is beautiful. The main building is an old mental facility built in 1847. There is an old Catholic Church on the grounds as well. The Clarion bought the hotel in 2004. The land is well groomed and lots of open areas. The staff was very friendly and the facilities... More

Just back from a lovely 3 night stay in the Clarion with my 3 kids. A great time was had by all. The children loved the pool, staff were very friendly and helpful. We got a free upgrade to our room so can't complain about that. Breakfast was fantastic. Only minor issue I would say for us is we are... More
