Strandhill is a great place to stay, location is brilliant. I have stopped at this site before many times over the years. Maybe I'm getting older and have become more accustomed to the standard of caravan parks in Northern Ireland, that now I frown upon this site. this site is set minutes from two great pubs and a lovely chinese restaurant, basic shop. Surfing very popular with the young people. camped in this site several times over last ten years but would not go back. Camped here August 2007 and had to leave early due to all night rowdy partying. The Staff were very helpful in getting our caravan parked, we were outside for a walk in under a hour inculding unpacking, we had a beautiful view of the Mountain Ben Bulben and were five minutes from Sligo, a Beautiful beach over at Rosses Point and surfing to beat it all at Strandhill, the craic was ninety at the local... more
