I had eaten in Cromleach lodge last year after a recommendation and thought that the food and setting was wonderful. However with my expectations higher I doubted if I would find it as good the second time round. I had never stayed overnight in Cromleach so I booked in for dinner and B&B. Dinner was again outstanding and for the... more

We stayed here for a Saturday night, had heard rave reviews about the food and wanted to have a good meal with a bottle of wine and not have one of us driving afterwards! Found the hotel easily enough- it is well signposted from the main Dublin-Sligo road at Castlebaldwin- though the roads to it are quite narrow. The setting... more

Myself and my boyfriend stayed here for three nights (Fri-Mon) and it was the nicest place we have ever stayed in. From the start they upgraded us to a deluxe suite for no extra cost and the room had a magnificent view of the Lough and surrounding countryside. The room (and bathroom) was impeccably clean and serviced each day whilst... more

Myself and my boyfriend stayed here for one of my best friends weddings recently and were so looking forward to staying having heard so much about the property from my friend. Fawlty Towers would be a nice description of it - too nice I think. The place was awful. From the attitude of the girl checking us in (bored would... more

We stayed for one night at the lovely Cromleach Hotel and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Warm & friendly welcome, beautiful room. Expensive but excellent restaurant, I asked the waiter to check that what I had oredered was gluten free and 5 minutes later, freshly cooked, hot gluten free bread rolls appeared. My first edible bread in 2 years and I... more

Cromleach Lodge is situated on a height overlooking Lough Arrow - a lovely, quiet, unspoilt setting. The accommodation is first class. We had a lovely room, spacious, clean, comfortable. There were complimentary tea and coffee making facilities, bottles of water, fresh fruit, miniature bottles of Baileys. The staff were charming without being in any way obsequious. The food was excellent... more

It was easily the nicest place we stayed in our travels in Ireland, Scotland and London, and one of the most reasonably priced. The rooms are large, comfortable and fairly modern. The location in the hills overlooking a lake is magnificent. We only stayed two nights so could not fully explore the area. Wish we could have stayed longer. The... more

One of a relatively few hotels that are willing to accept a dog! Looked and sounded good in the Hotels of Ireland Blue Book so we decided to go for it. Spoke to Christy, the owner, who was very happy to accept a reservation over the phone - no credit card details, etc, required in way of a deposit -... more

We had visited the Lodge last year and returned yesterday. The property has been recently renovated. We didn't stay, but had dinner. While the service was slow, it was leisurely and was well worth waiting for. The food was fabulous, if a little on the pricey side. We are looking forward to a return trip and will definitely stay. The... more

Having stayed at more than 20 hotels and lodges in Ireland, Cromleach is far and away our favorite. The food was fabulous, better than the Four Seasons in Dublin. The rooms spacious, wonderfully appointed, immaculate, the service exceptional...and the spectacular vista of Lach Arrow. I noted a review complaining of slow dinning room service. Meals are, by design, leisurely. I... more
