I booked this break away at short notice and then read the reviews! I didnt know what to expect and approached the hotel with caution. I was delighted to recieve friendly and helpful service. Although the exterior is "weathered" there was some new decking and lovely new furniture to relax outside. The decor may have been dated in the function... more

please dont go anywhere near this hotel ,unless you like old grumpy, dirty, smelly, old world service, and to see what it was like in dirty ireland of the 1960s.....i can only guess this hotel is a rented out hotel, because if one owned it one would spend a million quickly or close it down now. sligo is a beatiful area to visit and... more

worried about staying in this hotel given the negative reviews howver was very pleased to find a great family hotel, large ,bright clean bedrooms, good food, nice swimmimg pool and a very good childrens club with an excellent creche which was well equipped and ran by a qualified nurse with some other younger staff. Hotel would in my opinion not be very suitable... more

We've just come back from a weekend in this hotel. Stayed there for the August Bank Holiday for 3 nights. Have to say after reading some of the reviews I was a bit nervous going but it was great. Ok from the outside looks very shabby and in need of decoration but don't judge a book by its cover!! The... more

This hotel is definitely not a 3 star more like a one! Food was horrible, bedroom smelt of stale smoke and hadn't... more

Myself & my husband stayed in this hotel about 7yrs ago & looked forwad to our 2nd visit in Jul'08. We should have turned away at the sight of the shabby entrance hall. Instead we put this to one side & hoped for the best. The room was a good size, but the travel cot we ordered for our 8mnth... more

We (my wife, kids and I) booked into this hotel for a week. We stayed for two nights. The room we were in was large but peopkle had clearly been smoking in it which the staff tried to cover up unsuccessfully. The numerous cigarette butts to be seen on the windowsil outside our bedroom were a giveaway. We had a... more

After reading the reviews on here we had second thoughts about going. We decided to experience for ourselves and the only thing we could complain about was that the front of the hotel could do with a bit of a face lift but otherwise we had a very enjoyable stay. Accommodation was good, clean and spacious, the food was lovely and... more
