Stayed here for the Fleadh last week, perfect location only about 10 min walking distance to the town! we drove from the north so it was easy to find. Welcomed by I think Mary, who was lovely, showed us to our room, now as it is a hostel we didn't expect much, the room was clean and we had an... More

Clean hostel and within walking distance of centre which is so quiet. Plenty of guests who chat around as if they've known you a long time. Breakfast wasn't so great though : just a couple of loafs, some jam and cereal and do it yourself and clean up afterwards.

As far as the word Hostel goes, in my mind it equates to slum dog. We were recently at a wedding in Sligo which was held at the Radisson Blue, due to upcoming holidays we couldn't afford the hotel prices and i had considered camping in Strandhill (as we often do on a yearly basis) I came across this hostel... This accomodation is fairly shabby. There was mould on the walls of our double bunk, tiny room. It was incredibly badly lit and the carpet was absolutely disgusting and filthy looking. There also was a very unsavoury smell in the bedroom. We also had to go looking for toilet roll for the bathroom on our floor as it was without... More

We stayed here for a brief night, booked last minute and got a comfortable ensuite room for two for 50euro including a basic breakfast. It was clean, comfortable and warm and for a last minute booking it exceeded my expectations. Its a bit far from the city centre but if you don't mind walking it'll be no problem. I'd stay... More

Thought this hostel was exactly what you'd expect from a hostel for €20 to be honest! More so a glorified B&B. The rooms were nice enough if not a bit basic. I stayed for New Years though so realistically I just wanted the bed... The lady at the front was really easy going and accommodating and didn't mind that there... More

Myself & a group of friends decided to go to Sligo for new years eve. Harbour House short walk from the train station. Arrived at the hostel staff really nice offered us tea / coffee. Gave us a map of where to go in town. Offered to order taxi's when we were ready to go. Big fire on in the... More

I booked the hostel (dorm) when it was still called Harbour House Hostel, about a month ago. I had looked at previous comments, and was kind of reluctant to book it. Had to though because everything else was booked up. The one person from the staff that I met was lovely and explained everything. There were a lot of things... More

Myself and my family stayed there. Staff were great, warm welcome and listed places of interest for us to see and gave us a map with all marked out and how to get there. Room bright, clean & towels were provided free. Lovely dining room and sitting room. Great selection for breakfast, the girl even got coco pops and hot... More

We had a private room at Harbour House. It was clean, sunny, comfortable and modern. The hostel seemed well-run. When we were there it was quiet. It's a bit off the main drag but walking distance. There is a breakfast of bread, cereal and coffee included, free computer, laundry for 10 euros.
