I arrived quite late in the evening, I had no reservation and Lora, found directly a room for me. I stayed in Sligo, in the Hostel for 4 days, during the weekend as well, and not only both the ladies had been very helpful regarding trips to take or places to hit but they also suggested me a very nice... Disaster, floor damp, key didn't work for our room. No hot water. No electricity in sockets in the night. Very cold. Don't expect much for 20 euro. I stayed in hostels for 20 euro and was like a hotel in comparison.

The place was terrible - shabby and cold - freezing cold! We slept in jackets, trousers, as the heating was off after half an hour. The room equipment less than modest. Cold water, cold, windy room and no person to complain. Nobody answered the phone. Breakfast offered - we did not try it. Internet worked so slowly that we gave... More

Stayed here last Sunday night when we came for Sligo Live. The lady on reception was very helpful and told us all the places to go in town. Our room was perfect and clean and to be honest we only wanted somewhere to get our heads down for a few hours after a night on the town. It's about a 10 -15 minute... We stayed at the Harbour House hostel for a week with a group of 7 adults and 29 children. Our experience was mixed. The children in the group had a great time, but as adults we had a few complaints. Reception in the hostel was friendly, but they informed us that they could not give us all the rooms that... More

Stayed here for the Fleadh last week, perfect location only about 10 min walking distance to the town! we drove from the north so it was easy to find. Welcomed by I think Mary, who was lovely, showed us to our room, now as it is a hostel we didn't expect much, the room was clean and we had an... More

Clean hostel and within walking distance of centre which is so quiet. Plenty of guests who chat around as if they've known you a long time. Breakfast wasn't so great though : just a couple of loafs, some jam and cereal and do it yourself and clean up afterwards.

As far as the word Hostel goes, in my mind it equates to slum dog. We were recently at a wedding in Sligo which was held at the Radisson Blue, due to upcoming holidays we couldn't afford the hotel prices and i had considered camping in Strandhill (as we often do on a yearly basis) I came across this hostel... This accomodation is fairly shabby. There was mould on the walls of our double bunk, tiny room. It was incredibly badly lit and the carpet was absolutely disgusting and filthy looking. There also was a very unsavoury smell in the bedroom. We also had to go looking for toilet roll for the bathroom on our floor as it was without... More

We stayed here for a brief night, booked last minute and got a comfortable ensuite room for two for 50euro including a basic breakfast. It was clean, comfortable and warm and for a last minute booking it exceeded my expectations. Its a bit far from the city centre but if you don't mind walking it'll be no problem. I'd stay... More
