Stayed here with a group of friends for the May bank holiday weekend. If you are a mixed group of friends you should be prepared to share double beds. In the main house there are 2 bedrooms, one has a double and the other has a double and a single. The bathroom is a great size and the kitchen is... More

We stayed here last weekend and it was the perfect get away before the Christmas madness. The owner made us feel very welcome on arrival and our apartment was lovely and warm. I was delighted with the standard of the accommodation. I thought it was very high spec. The kitchen was country cottage style which was a pleasant surprise. There... More

Thank you so much for your positive and heartwarming review. It makes a huge difference when I am given some praise for the effort I put into managing this small, family-run self-catering property. It makes it all worthwhile and indeed provides an incentive to give even more to the future and share some of the benefits of living in such... More

We stayed here for a couple of nights in November. Setting is perfect - great views from the house and very close to both Sligo town and Strandhill. Lots to do in the general area and we had no problem entertaining the children despite the rain! However I have to say I was disappointed with the standard of the accommodation.... More

Ah yes, I have been expecting this threatened review as I was unwilling to refund this guest. As I have already discussed with her at length, the peeling paint area, which was a small area in hall and in living room, has been taken care of with new decorating in the Guest Wing. What can I say, this is a... More

We stayed here last August with our young son. The building is lovely and its location is fantastic with beautiful views over the Sligo countryside. The apartment is a great size with 2 generous doubles (one set up as a twin) a large living room and a kitchen with a dining table. Oh and obviously a bathroom, with a bath... More

Your review detailed issues which we had previously discussed and I considered resolved. Anyway I dont understand why you have not felt heard as your issues have been dealt with, in fact, I have redecorated since your stay so your negative and frankly insulting remarks are not quite as effective as you may perhaps wish. Also, I should add that... More

This was our 3rd visit in as many years to the lovely Primrose Grange House. The house is perfect for a relaxing break, it is chilled personified ! The house is very comfortable, the owners have thought of everything to make a very enjoyable stay. There is a gorgeous open fire which has to be used regardless of the temp... More

We had an intergenerational girls only (oh and grandsons) weekend in the Guest Wing to celebrate someone's (can't say who of course) 60th Birthday in April this year. The house could not have been more perfectly suited to our needs........loads of space, with both a large living room and full kitchen (aswell as the bedrooms) allowed a variety of activities... On a working vacation -- as I was at the Yeats International Summer School in Sligo -- I couldn't have been more fortunate than to have seen this lovely 18th-century house on the shoulder of Knocknarea, and gotten a room there for two weeks. The views from the front windows are over Lough Arrow and Yeats country, and from the... More

For us, as just one couple with two dogs, this was an ideal location from which to enjoy the many things to do & see in the area. The local information and tips from our most helpful host greatly helped with our enjoyment.

Primrose Grange House is an old Georgian Residence that has been kindly restored in recent years by Freddie Symmons and Saoirse O Donoghue. The Guest Wing is surprisingly spacious and ideal for 4/5 people but can comfortably fit up to 7 persons. It is well kitted-out and a generous pack of basic provisions, a bale of peat briquettes, books, boardgames... More
