My husband and I stayed here for a night last year and really enjoyed our stay. Before we booked in we rang around most of the hotels in Westport for the best price, all of the hotels gave us a reduced rate except Knockranny which was a little disheartening, however, because we knew what we were getting we booked anyway.... more

Stayed one night in Knockranny House as a group of us were climbng nearby Mweelree mountain the following day. We arrived in late after 11pm but the lady in reception efficiently assigned us to our rooms. Went down to close-by Westport town to sample the night life as Westport has a reputation as a party town - had a couple... more

We came here with a big party of friends. This is a large, old-style formal hotel where first impressions were a bit off-putting, but this soon changed when you get the marvellous friendly welcome and super large room , nicely furnished with great views out over Croagh Patrick.. Shame there was no air-con - it happened to be surprisingly hot... more

Stayed here on a mid-week offer in June 2009– excellent value. Hotel is very nice – though the decor is looking a bit dated. A lot of dark wood that would not really be my style. Friendly staff (especially on reception and the porter who brought up our bags on arrival). Great views from the restaurant. Good but not outstanding... more

12 family and friends stayed for 3 days for a 60th birthday. The staff especially Derdrie, the restaurant manager, were always attentive and very friendly. The spa was usually empty and very inviting. The rooms were all large and beds very comfortable. The food was first class and they served one of our party with special meals without any fuss. 5... more

I had a great stay at this hotel as I was lucky enough to be in a Grand Deluxe room and I have to say it's the nicest room I have ever stayed in. The bathroom was bigger than my living room at home and had a great spa bath, separate shower and twin sinks. The room was clean and... more

Just returned from a great break, I chose this hotel as it was set on its own grounds and the deal we got was really good value for money, We were looking forward to a quiet time away, we got exactly that. On arrival we were met by a courteous receptionist, our bedroom was the best I have ever stayed... more

One night stay to celebrate an anniversary. Large hotel with great facilities and excellent staff. Close to Westport. Room was very spacious, with sunken lounge area. Large en-suite which was fully tiled but without heating - take a pair of slippers! Spa bath was tiny, which was such a shame - not big enough to stretch out in. Power shower... more

Located just on the outskirts of Westport, this is a five star hotel that you will not be disappointed in. You can actually walk into town (10/15 minutes). It is about 18 yrs old but is in great shape. I attended a wedding there and the staff could not have been nicer. more
