Was in Westport for the weekend and popped in to Dunnings for a drink. My husband ordered a pint of Guinness and I ordered a glass of Guinness. A young barman filled the drinks and we paid, on tasting the Guinness we soon realised it was everything but a decent pint of the black stuff there was a serious sour... More

Booked in this B&B for 1 night (Aug) after being shown to our rooms my husband gave back the keys and said we would not be staying! The foyer/lounge leading to the upstairs rooms stunk of damp and diesel, there was a clear dirty track across the carpet where dirty work boots etc had obviously crossed. The room had a... More

We have been to Westport many times over the years, but this is the first time we had food in Dunnings. Can't comment on the rooms as we have never stayed here. Lunch was ok and not too dear! There was a reasonable menu and a menu for speciality beers! Dunnings is in the centre of town at the Octagon,... More

Positives are good value & location, friendly staff & a decent breakfast along with the most powerful shower I've come across in ages. Downsides are that it looks to attract stag parties which given fairly thin walls could be annoying if you're in a room next door.

In dunnings at the moment. Just had a lovely pint of Guiness and a pork chop dinner, husband had the beef. For a tenner a head what was not to like. Food was exactly as it should be good plain food lovely mash, and pork chops grilled served with a very tasty pepper sauce. Great Guiness at €3.80 a pint... More

Stayed in Dunnings B&B for a stag weekend for two nights. Lets start with the positives, the location was great being right in the centre of Westport town so pubs weren't too far away. Staff were very friendly and polite and their was no task that was ignored. The breakfast was absolutley sensational and that alone was a selling point.... More

Stayed in a single room at Dunnings last week. Thought it would only be a single bed but instead it was a very comfy double. Had a cute little ensuite, was very small though!! Also had a TV but on the first night I couldn't find the remote and the next day when I asked the lady gave it to... More

Great location but an absolute kip. Three grown men put into some rooms which were dirty. Landlady insisted on hounding us for €50 deposit each although there was no mention of it before we arrived. Nothing you could damage in the rooms that would amount to €50 anyway. Location is great though.we were on a stags and unconscious drunk most... More
