I spent one night in the TF Royal, Castlebar and have to say I was very dissapointed. The rooms are ok and clean if a little outdated. As is the hotel which looks an old Crossroads set. We tried to get food in the bar in the evening but weren't very impressed with what was on offer in the overpriced... more

I recently stayed in the TF Royal Hotel as BellX1 were on in the theatre. All I have to say is excellent hotel, venue, staff and food! We throughly enjoyed our stay. Brilliant show, great facilities and theatre staff were very professional. Great asset to the West!! I would highly reccommend this hotel if you are going West!! more

What a great hotel, staff couldnt be more helpful. Has a massive state of the art theatre attached with great shows to boot. We had very pleasant stay at The TF and will be back again. more

Stayed here last night as we were going to a gig in the Royal theatre. The service was pretty bad, the place was rotten, the rooms were terrible, the pints weren't great and the price was a joke. By the way there's only a few free parking places out the front. Don't fall for the pictures on the website stay... more

We visited Castlebar to attend a concert at the Event centre. As the venue had a link to the hotel and it looked OK on it’s website we booked in for one night. Let’s just say that’s the last time that I’ll make a booking without checking the TA reviews. This hotel is laughingly rated as three stars. The reception... more

My wife and I just stopped for a coffee in the bar. Were presented with two half-cups and asked for Euro 5.00. Left coffee to a table and returned for sugar and milk to be told price had gone up ! To E 5.70 ! Even locals at bar thought this was crazy. Perhaps they are trying to extract as... more
