Myself and my boyfriend stayed here just over a week ago. I made the reservation kind of last minute, all of the hotels were booked out, and so was relieved when we got the last available double room. We stayed here as we were going to The Corona's concert and both of us had to work the next day so... More

My daughter is currently on a working holiday in Ireland. She is from Australia. She became very ill and needed urgent accommodation close to the hospital when she was discharged. Kitty Whyte was wonderful and put my mind at rest. Not only did she give my daughter the warmest room in the house but brought her meals other than breakfast... More

We were attending a wedding in Castlebar and as we needed to stay for 2 nights we decided to stay in a B&B as it would be a cheaper option. I clicked on to trip advisor for recommendations and immediately chose the Rose Garden as it sounded really lovely. At €65 it looked like a real treasure. On arrival I... More

We stayed here May 20-26, 2004 so had plenty of time to critique. Our stay was great! Kitty Whyte works very hard at her B&B to make you feel welcome and comfortable. Her breakfasts are wonderful. If we ever have the opportunity to return to Castlebar, there would be only one place for us: the Rose Garden B&B.

For our Honeymoon, my husband and I visited Ireland for two weeks, exploring 1,600 miles of beautiful Ireland. Every night we had to find a B&B, some nice, some of them not so nice. A local Irishman suggested we stay in Castlebar, we were looking for great pubs with nightly live music. Along with that we found The Rose Garden... More

If you are going to Castlebar in Ireland, the Rose Garden B&B is an excellent place to stay. Right across from the Garda station (police station). It any a few blocks from the main part of town, but just far enough away to have a quiet night of sleep. Parking was provided, and the breakfast was a traditional Irish breakfast.... More
