This was a mini family break for 5 adults. Be warned, the website is extremely misleading! Pictures look good and the blurb reads well and I must admit the drive up the avenue presented an impressive building but that's just about it....a beautiful facade that just doesn't follow through. On check in the lobby was teeming with a group of... More

We booked this hotel for a romantic weekend away-got a great deal for two nights, B&B, use of leisure facilities and spa treatment each and main course one evening. Upon arrival, the hotel had a very romantic feel to it, the grounds expansive and great for a walk (which we found ourselves doing just to see the horses). The breakfast... More

Busy hotel, arrived and receptionist was flustered and not welcoming at all....... everything seemed to be a problem. Bar food menu very limited and unimaginative. Breakfast, manic... it's the only word. Told 'sit where you like' on arrival at dining room, no one checked to see if anything was needed, it's all self service, even the teas......... the place was... More

It was great for the kids, lots to entertain them, while we could relax and enjoy ourselves. Close to Castlebar and many other places to visit. Rooms were clean and there was a showere with plenty of hot water which made me happy. Swimming pool is a big hit.

Just back after another 5 lovely days in Breaffy. We stayed in the old hotle again (as Ive said previously, it has so much more character than the Woods). Great value trip, 5 nights B&B and 2 evening meals for €626.....works out at €25.04 each per day. Family rooms as always have plenty of space. The meal on first night... More

Beautiful hotel, lovely grounds to walk around, very impressive. Nice warm and clean room, comfortable bed. Cant speak highly enough of the place. Their spa is amazing and i would recommend the mud chamber treatment having tried it. I would definitely stay here again, lovely for a weekend away :) very reasonable rates

We booked our Wedding Reception at Breaffy House back in December 2012 and from then til our Wedding Day (July 19th 2014), we were blown away by the venue and the staff. During the planning process, we dealt with Brenda, Denise and Simon and i can't thank them enough for the time and effort they put into giving us the... More

Went for a meal here as the hotel looks so impressive. It was a special occasion so we didn't mind paying a little more. On arrival we were met by an unhelpful dining staff member who's first language was not English, couldn't understand him, fair enough but he was grumpy and rude too. He put us on a table opposite...
