The hotel is located on the river and next to a mall. The food was average. The pub had music at night, but lacked local charm. It is within walking distance of bridges and other land marks, St. Peters, Dung Hill, etc. The rooms were not very user friendly. I like to read at night and the lighting wasn't that... More

Firstly, we booked a balcony room, thinking it would be similar to the one advertised on their website, not so.... it was a dirty concrete balcony with old tired and dirty table and chairs... not worth the extra money. We only stayed one night here and on arriving at our room, we were not very impressed, walls were scuffed, carpet... More

My father and I recently went on a golfing trip to Ireland and Scotland. Drogheda was kind of a stop in between destinations, but the town and surrounding areas are full of great historic sites and beautiful scenery. Before Jumping into the hotel review i just want to advise to spend a few days in the area; there is a... More

The rooms we got had a nice views of the river, but the general condition was fairly shabby. Very worn out carpets, lumpy beds, tv didn't work (had to unplug it to turn it off), some lights not working, bathroom a little grungy and overall very hot and stuffy. There was an oscillating fan in the room...but it didn't oscillate.... More

This was the boys second stay on our Laytown Races day out.Excellent value for money and helpful friendly staff.Excellent buffet breakfast, comfortable rooms.Ideal location to the night life offered by Drogehda. We visited the famous on the Beach jockey club rules Races. The coastline and nearby Howth with its many fresh seafood restaurants was a must visit.Historians also enjoyed the Boyne valley.

This is one of the hotels we stayed at during a CIE tour called "Jewels of Ireland". All of the hotels they selected were excellent. All had a full breakfast buffet added, some slightly better than others.

I would like to thank the staff of the D hotel for making our 2 night stay a good experience. Very friendly and helpful staff. We are a family of 6 so we had 2 interconnecting rooms which was perfect for us. Credit where its due, we will definately be back there again in the new year, the kids loved... More

We stayed on a weekend and we got a view of the river and dump which was located next to the car park. The receptionist was ok but not that welcoming towards us. When we arrived to the fourth floor we were staying right beside the elevators, walked into the room after a staff member walked out (really professional) the... More

The d Hotel is everything you could expect from a modern hotel in the city centre. Efficient, stylish with big open spaces and perfect condition for good business as well as family occasions. Room was good providing everything we needed. Great menu in the large and spacious bar area and we had an interesting meal in the slightly more formal... More

Well-situated on the quayside within a few yards of the town centre and with free parking, the d hotel rings a lot of bells. Reception was efficient and the room was large and the bed large and comfortable. There seems to be no aircon, which I would usually applaud, so we left the window open and our sleep was postponed... Deliver us from traditionalists - please! Unfortunately we can't and don't appeal to everyone. Sorry you don't like our design and we are not your cup of tea. If you are looking for an old, traditional hotel it is best to look elsewhere. Thanks for your positive feedback about out helpful staff and lovely food and we shall take some... More
