We had booked the D-hotel for just a night passing through Drogheda on our way to Donegal but I could easily see us coming back. The hotel is a bit hard to find on a dark night in October, located behind a shopping center, but once in the room we has a nice view across the river onto the downtown... more

this hotel has never let me down yet, i normally stay on my own when working in the area and decided to bring my hubby for a wee chilled out weekend. Once again i wasnt disappointed, check in was quick and our room was lovely. The bar has a very relaxing atmosphere and lush cocktails! The food in the evening... more

Stayed here for one night in Nov. Overall it was a good stay. We booked with booking.com as they had a better rate than the hotel for weekends. Usually I book direct but when I emailed the hotel to enquire if they could match the rate they didnt respond. Check in was very quick. The girl on the desk was... more

Stayed in the 'G' a few months ago so as a result, I received an email about the company's other hotels. Got a great rate for the 'D' - 1 night B&B with dinner for two and a bottle of wine for €55 pps. The 'D' boasted of various awards and is connected to the 'G' in Galway which we... more

We stopped in Drogheda on our way back to Dublin, as I was simply too tired to complete the journey. After two weeks in B&Bs, we spotted the "d" and figured we'd treat ourselves to a nice luxury hotel for the night. Looking around the lobby, we were fully expecting to pay a fortune for our brief stay...but the rate... more

I spent a number of weeks in the "D" on business and was not dissappointed. The rooms were modern, clean and spacious. Meals were excellent and the staff were friendly, polite and professional. more

I had such a fun night with 24 of my friends in the D Hotel. The food and atmosphere along with the very professsional and pleasant mannered Staff is more than enough to entice us back again in the near future. Also compliments to the Chef! Excellent food and wine!! Thank you! more

Attended my first cousins wedding here last week, they had a small dinner then a big crowd back for afters. The Wedding was top notch, the food and service second to none. The band that the hotel organised for the afters were brilliant and we danced into the early hours. The function room was right on the river so it... more

Thought this hotel looked great on the website, but it doesn't really live up to the photos. Negatives: - The lack of aircon in the rooms is a real problem, it was not a particularly warm weekend but the heat in the room made sleeping difficult. - I really don't understand the purpose of an empty minibar? Surely soft drinks... more
