Needed a place to stay asap and this place was a reasonable price for being so last minute. Room had 2 double beds and shower room. Rooms were clean and spacious. It was freezing outside and was nice to get in and the heat was on so was cosy. 5min journey to town. Breakfast was great too! We will be... More

Hotel was used as a base for visiting relatives. The hotel was clean and comfortable with friendly staff. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. The location was exactly what we wanted - peaceful setting.

Olive rang me on the morning of our trip to confirm everything. We had a booked a family room but when she realised that we had a teenager with us we were given two rooms instead, at no extra cost. Rooms are excellent, bed linen, mattress, towels etc. are worthy of a top class hotel. there is a full kitchen... More

This is a lovely review and we're very pleased that we were able to meet/exceed your expectations. Olive takes great pride in the quality of her beds and bed linens and we want you and all of our guests to be comfortable. We thank you again and look forward to you and your family returning to stay with us. More

Really, I'd give it 4.5 stars. It's clean, comfortable and quiet. The only thing keeping it from five stars, for me, was its location. It's about a 15-minute walk from the center of town, and given the heavy rain, we would have preferred to have been more in the heart of town. That said, if staying in the city center... More

On the way from Dublin to Belfast after a late flight. Easy access off the highway, about 2 miles in. Plenty of parking. Stayed in a triple room which was nice and roomy. Bathroom was good sized too, no bumping into walls with every turn. Heating system worked too well! Turned it on when we arrived, and when we got... More

Olive Murphy welcomed the four of us like family. Her daughter Patricia who owns the Failte B & B in Slane organised accommodation here for us. It was a long day, our rental car had been broken into and gear stolen. Olive put us in a stand alone house which was spacious, clean and private. We dined that night at... More

She was the sweetest lady in the world. She recommended a great restaurant, did laundry for us and was just all around really friendly. The bathroom was very clean in my room and the rooms were very well kept. The sitting area by the fire place was very cozy and the breakfast was delicious! I would definitely stay here again... Had rang the night before our arrival as we had a long journey to let proprietors know it would be about 9 o'clock. Arrived that night, and not even offered a cup of tea, just handed the key of the room. Room, bathroom clean and breakfast fine. Nice and quiet at night. The personal service you would expect with a... More

When a guest arrives at 9:00 PM in in evening, they may expect a cordial welcome and a key to their room -- but management is NOT going to put the kettle on and settle down for a nice chin-wag with the arriving guests. At that point, we've had a 15-hour day and are interested in doing nothing more than... More

Our first trip to Ireland, my cousin, Robin, is trying to concentrate on traveling on the wrong side of the road while driving on the wrong side of the car, and we pull up to our reserved B&B, tired to death and needing a shower. Knock, knock, knock -- no one answers so we leave. After a call and another... More
