Welcomed by the General Manager this convenient hotel and restaurant was very busy with large groups of Spanish tourists. Unfortunately, that meant that my meal was not brilliant, I was served with Tomato not leek and potato soup as ordered and the steak was close to well done not medium rare. Breakfast chef was "missing" for some time (in the... More

We stayed here for 4 nights and had a great time. This hotel is very near to the medieval part of town and St. John's Castle. The first few nights we stayed in a regular room and then the last night, upgraded to a Junior suite, which was huge with a wrap around terrace and beautiful views of the River... More

Myself & my mum stayed last Monday night & we availed of the 1 night Dinner, B&B, free bottle of wine. Our package included executive rooms which were excellent & unexpected. We were late arriving and we called ahead to make sure we would meke dinner & were reassured that the kitchen was open until 10. They were very patient... More

Reception staff lovely. Made us feel at home instantly. Bar service very slow but all staff very friendly. Rooms are lovely and very relaxing and quiet. Free wifi! I know this is normal elsewhere too but in Ireland we were to find this was an exception. A very good location.

Hotel on the banks of the Shannon overlooking the river, one bridge crossing for on foot excursions into city centre (shops, restaurants, attractions) clean, modern nicely decorated rooms at attractive prices. Excellent facilities including on prem parking garage, spa, pool etc. Very friendly staff, an excellent full Irish breakfast. Sadly enough hotel was fully booked out and staff had trouble... More

Fine hotel with great staff. Unfortunately I think the most basic expectation of a 4 star hotel is a nights sleep. Pounding music until 2am is just not acceptable. Complaints to the front desk were a waste of time.

I cannot praise the lovely staff (esp. reception) enough they made an otherwise horrid day not only bearable but wonderful by the end. Not often you can have such a bad day turned around. Beautiful room. Room service that was delicious lovely and quiet I got a great nights sleep.

Plonked squarely on the banks of the Shannon The Strand’s central location makes it ideal as staging post for on foot excursions into Limerick city centre (King Johns Castle, Hunt Museum, shops of O’Connell Street, dozens of pubs and restaurants) and is on the right side of the river for trips further afield (Bunratty Castle, Thomond Park rugby stadium and... Centrally located and within easy walking distance of shops, restaurants etc. Taxi from Shannon airport not too expensive. Hotel reception efficient, staff friendly. Rooms spacious, clean and well appointed. I didn't use the restaurant apart from breakfast, no problems here either with a good selection of breakfast items. Nice environment around the bar in the evening. I'd come back for... More
