My hotel room was booked for 9.pm, my flight was delayed so rang the hotel of my late arrival, they were very understanding and said to ring the bell if they bar was closed. Finally arrived at 12.30am & was met by a very friendly manager/owner not quite sure, he offered me an on-suite (even though I found out the... More

I am in Limerick for a semester of school at UL. I flew in a few days early so I could spend some time getting familiar with the city. I was traveling alone and wanted to stay some where close to the bus station (I had 4 months of luggage) and I wanted to be somewhere safe, somewhere the staff... More

Good location (next to the railway and bus stations), not too expensive (to irish standards), but very noisy, quite dirty (strong cigarette smell in room , I even found cigarette ashes in the bathroom!) and terrible beds (way too soft) So if you don't come late or quite early, try something else.

this hotel is well placed for trains and buses and for exploring Limerick. it is a traditional family run hotel. it is very clean and tidy and basic. the rooms are comfortable but with no frills. the breakfasts are edible and quickly prepared. we found it a great place to stay to see limerick.

This hotel is very convient to the coach and train station. Within a 10 or 15 minute walk to the shopping area of the city. Small pleasent park within a 5 minute walk. This is not a luxury hotel, nor does this hotel charge so-called luxury rates. Clean room, rather small, but, your in Ireland for holiday or buisiness, not to sit in your room... More

Stayed at the Railway hotel for one night during a bike trip - and found it to be exactly the kind of hotel I love. A cavernous place with a maze of corridors and stairways; decor from long ago; tiny rooms with nice views over backyards and chimneys. For the price (I paid 35 Euro for a single, B&B!) the... More

I found it a great value and an easy walk to all parts of town. Limerick is definitely worth visiting... More

I have stayed at this hotel more than 15 times and it is safe ,comfortable and consistent. The owners have been accommodating and helpful each and every time. They care about you as a traveler and guest. The pub is clean and a typical local. The food is excellent and cheap. The rates are wonderful. If your expecting to be... More

If you are looking for luxury, better hike down the road to find it--and pay double the price. However, if you want a warm Irish welcome, a clean bed, a hot shower and people who will take the time to talk with you like they know you, and halp you, you'll enjoy staying at Limerick's historical Railway Hotel. I'm an... More
