This hotel does not exude "pride of ownership". The service and the food in the bar are very good (we think the bartender does the best Guinness pour of any we've been to this week), but the rooms were another issue. We had booked for two nights and were not warned upon check-in that there were some burst pipes in... More

My wife has always stayed here for her 7 visits to Ireland over the last 40+ years. This is our second visit here together. Staff has consistently been outstanding: helpful, friendly, informative and great company. Our meals in the pub and breakfast have been excellent and great values. It is conveniently located on Ennis Road within walking distance to downtown... More

I have been staying at The Woodfield for almost twenty years through changes of ownership and staff. One thing never changes - the excellence of my stay. I have just spent another two nights there. The welcome, as ever, was exceptional. The staff were friendly and helpful, the meals in the bar and for breakfast were superb, and the cheerful... More

This has been our second stay in this hotel and it will definately will not be our last. It is just like going to visit your favourite Auntie, the welcome you getat the desk. Bedrooms are decorated beautifully, and modern. The entrance and bar may look a bit dated, but you must remember its a very old building, and it... More

I stayed there with my brother on the October Bank Holiday. We went on a Grab One deal also.My deal was a week out of date but they were absolutely fine and were able to sort us out.The staff were wonderful and so helpful. We certainly will go there again. The decor may be a little old but the friendly staff and regulars... By pure accident we arrived at this establishment. We had no hotel booking but tickets for the Munster match so traveled to Limerick on spec. The only problem was that we were travelling in a defender jeep plus roof rack which is over two meters so no internal car parks so that limited our choice. The staff were so helpful and friendly.... More

I went to Woodfield House with an open mind after reading one two bad reviews on here. We went on a Grab One, 2 couples. B&B plus evening meal. Straight away we loved the vibe of the hotel, lovely lady greeted us at reception, and escorted us to our rooms to make sure everything was okay. Rooms are lovely, nice... More

Couldn't believe I was staying in the same place as the other reviews described. Musty smell greeted you on arrival. No-one at reception, and call bell broken. Room quite small, fittings shabby and rusty, press taps in the bathroom (which for some reason, I felt made the room particularly un-hospitable!). Really disappointing. Only highlight was the lovely Polish girl who... More

My wife and I stayed here for one night. Just happened to see it and stopped in. The place has character but the room we had was good and the attached pub had great food and atmosphere. Some pubs in Ireland can really make you feel like an outsider, but I didn't get that impression here. We had a great... More
