This is a really good value hotel in Limerick that was very near to where I needed to be. It is a place full of character with lots of nooks in the bar. Refreshingly it lacks that bland, generic feel that many hotels have these these days. Delighted with what was a very rapid choice based on an emergency situation... More

Easy to find with large free car park. Staff in reception and in bar very friendly. We ate in the bar and enjoyed our meal. The room was dated and in need of a complete refurb (as was most of hotel). Seemed clean enough but there was a general air of neglect. When we arrived the receptionist advised that they... More

I met a friend for lunch here and we left after using the bathrooms. One door lock was broken and there was black mould around the door edges. We asked if there was another one which when directed to was equally dirty and flooded. There were soiled wet rags on the floor. We did not stay for lunch due to... More

My wife and I stayed one night in Woodfield House. We did not eat any food in the hotel or visit the bar. The bedroom was dated and a little shabby but the bed was comfortable and we slept well. That's all we wanted so it was fine. I wouldn't recommend the hotel for anymore than a quick overnight stay.

This hotel does not exude "pride of ownership". The service and the food in the bar are very good (we think the bartender does the best Guinness pour of any we've been to this week), but the rooms were another issue. We had booked for two nights and were not warned upon check-in that there were some burst pipes in... More

My wife has always stayed here for her 7 visits to Ireland over the last 40+ years. This is our second visit here together. Staff has consistently been outstanding: helpful, friendly, informative and great company. Our meals in the pub and breakfast have been excellent and great values. It is conveniently located on Ennis Road within walking distance to downtown... More

I have been staying at The Woodfield for almost twenty years through changes of ownership and staff. One thing never changes - the excellence of my stay. I have just spent another two nights there. The welcome, as ever, was exceptional. The staff were friendly and helpful, the meals in the bar and for breakfast were superb, and the cheerful... More

This has been our second stay in this hotel and it will definately will not be our last. It is just like going to visit your favourite Auntie, the welcome you getat the desk. Bedrooms are decorated beautifully, and modern. The entrance and bar may look a bit dated, but you must remember its a very old building, and it... More

By pure accident we arrived at this establishment. We had no hotel booking but tickets for the Munster match so traveled to Limerick on spec. The only problem was that we were travelling in a defender jeep plus roof rack which is over two meters so no internal car parks so that limited our choice. The staff were so helpful and friendly.... More
