Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice clean comfortable room. Great location. Didn't read other reviews before I stayed but now that I have I think some of the negative ones were totally over the top this was a nice hotel for the price and grade of the hotel and would stay again. more

Been staying at Woodfield-an exceptional experience. Exceptionally bad that is. The room: No heating anywhere first night, absolutely freezing. Terrible smelling rooms like someone had been chain smoking in them for the past six months and then died there (and not just our room, at least three colleagues said same). No bin in the room, dirty walls and one of... more

I stayed here for one night - on business & it was booked by a colleague so I didn't read the reviews. Yes - it's a time warp, needs refurbishment, & smells a bit. But, it does have a certain charm. It's basically a neighbourhood pub with bedrooms attached. I enjoyed the crack in the bar & meeting locals who... more

Stayed in the hotel recently, as only wanted something cheap for a few hourse sleep. Room was extremely cheap at €45 (regardless of how many staying). Overall hotel needs a major revamp. The lobby and reception smell. The rooms are damp with wall paper, fiitings etc. needing replacing. It was however fairly clean. In fairness can't complain 'cos at 45... more

We spent only one night at this Hotel and can honestly say it was the worst accomodation we have ever stay in, except for one guest house in Portrush in the late 80's. We should have read the reviews on this site first because we would have gone somewhere else and now not have to bother writing this review to... more

We had booked on the recommendation of friends who stayed there recently and we were not disappointed with our stay. The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful at all times. We were told on check in that if we wanted a tea or coffee in our room at any time just ring down and it would be sent... more

How lovely to find a hotel with such friendly and helpful staff. We booked on the internet and found the rates good value for money. Staff went out of there way to look after us and the rooms were better than we expected. Lovely breakfast and had a lovely meal in the bar in the evening. Couldn't fault the place. more

i have to agree with other bad comments made about this Hotel. When we arrived we were met with thousands of football fans in the hotel and car park. beer and rubbish everywhere, men urinating in the car park. The hotel had put a row of beer pumps in the car park to accommadate these fans, with no thought for... more

On reading other bad reviews for this hotel, you may be thinking that people are exaggerating..... believe me this is not the case! We arrived at the Woodfield Hotel and intially found the place to be in a really shabby condition and our non smoking room stank of cigarettes. As it was not expensive we thought 'ah well, it's only... more

My friend and I spent last weekend in this hotel and thought it was lovely. The staff were very friendly and helpful and one barman went out of his way to get us a drink from the bar when we returned late one evening. The rooms were spacious and suited our needs. The location was fine too as we just... more
