Charming Traditional Irish pub with rooms serving great food. Warm welcome, nice atmosphere and good local dishes. Had the special of the day, locally caught Sea Bass with a salad and fries. Nice to see such high quality food at fair prices in a rural area with somewhat limited (quality) options. Sláinte!

Three of us stopped in for a late dinner one night after arriving into the town of Glin. We sat in the bar area and chose from the several choices on the blackboard. The portions were huge! I had the roast pork and everything was very tasty, like home cooking. The service was great also.

When you enter the bar at the Foynes Inn you see exactly what you'd expect, a large clear comfortable bar, a friendly barman and a match on the telly in the corner. If you venture into the toilets you'll realise that there's something more to this establishment. They might just have been designed for a four star hotel. The entrance... More

Had lunch here recently and liked it, very friendly helpful staff and a decent, reasonably priced menu. Only downside I can think of was the coffee is dreadful. It seems to be popular with locals and visitors as well as people working in the port.

Just called in, for a couple of pints of Guinness, and a bite to eat as i was staying on the dock for a night. The guinness was very nice, and after the first 2, i got a menu, it did look a bit pricey, but i thought what the heck. I went for the cajun chicken on a bed... More

Stayed for one night in the Foynes Inn. It's a traditional pub in a small rural town. There's no reception so you have to check-in at the pub. I was pleasantly surprised with the room. It was spacious, modern, and very clean. (There isn't any hairdryer or hospitality tray). The room is however really comfortable and very pleasant. Breakfast was good... More

Wasn't expecting the nice big comfortable room, so that was a treat. The very kind woman running the show brought our tea and biscuits to the room and didn't charge us for it. The most surprising thing about this place is the decor. From the outside you might expect your typical old world Irish style. I think they have gone... More

Just loved the stay here. I travel a lot and often stay in large faceless business hotels. This little place has staff that remember your name, run a great little pub with a nice fire. Food was pretty good too. The steak was better than a lot of "classy" restaurants I have been to recently. The full Irish breakfast is... More

Beautiful little place. The owner is a lovely lady who is very welcoming and helpful. Great breakfast and good food at night as well in the bar. Highly recommended if you are coming into Foynes on business.
