Just called in, for a couple of pints of Guinness, and a bite to eat as i was staying on the dock for a night. The guinness was very nice, and after the first 2, i got a menu, it did look a bit pricey, but i thought what the heck. I went for the cajun chicken on a bed... More

Stayed for one night in the Foynes Inn. It's a traditional pub in a small rural town. There's no reception so you have to check-in at the pub. I was pleasantly surprised with the room. It was spacious, modern, and very clean. (There isn't any hairdryer or hospitality tray). The room is however really comfortable and very pleasant. Breakfast was good... More

Wasn't expecting the nice big comfortable room, so that was a treat. The very kind woman running the show brought our tea and biscuits to the room and didn't charge us for it. The most surprising thing about this place is the decor. From the outside you might expect your typical old world Irish style. I think they have gone... More

Just loved the stay here. I travel a lot and often stay in large faceless business hotels. This little place has staff that remember your name, run a great little pub with a nice fire. Food was pretty good too. The steak was better than a lot of "classy" restaurants I have been to recently. The full Irish breakfast is... More

Beautiful little place. The owner is a lovely lady who is very welcoming and helpful. Great breakfast and good food at night as well in the bar. Highly recommended if you are coming into Foynes on business.

Arrived in Foynes last Monday night to join a ship in the local port. As the ship was going to be late we went into the Foynes Inn to wait for it to dock. The couple behind the bar were very friendly and prepared a meal for us ( although the kitchen was closed ) and gave us the access... More

I have had the occasion to stay at the Foynes Inn 3 times over 3 years. I highly recommend a stay whether you are a tourist visiting the area or have found yourself in the area on business. As stated in other reviews, the rooms are recently renovated to a very high standard with comfort in mind. The breakfasts are... More

Everything about our stay was truly wonderful. The rooms were beautiful, spacious and clean. The on-suite facilities were first class. The breakfast would set you up for the day, full English along with cereal toast tea and coffee. The evening restaurant offers a varied menu, with everything cooked fresh to your satisfaction. The staff are truly wonderful. It is good... More

Ended up having to work down that neck of the woods for a while and even before I went our operational manager was saying wait and you see the rooms and service you get in the place,he's northern and his expression was they'll kill you with kindness which I found absolutely true.Kathy the owner has spent a lot of money... The strange thing about Foynes is that there is hardly anywhere to stay. We were visiting family in the area and were looking for accomodation of any type but there seems to be an awful shortage in the area. Fortunatey, we were able to get a room in the Foynes Inn but weren't sure what to expect given that they... More
