If you like quiet, quaint places to stay, this is the place! I was lucky a few years ago to stay at the Lawcus Farm house. We had the whole family visiting Ireland with us (9 of us) We absolutely loved this place. Ann Marie is the best host. She is such a hard working woman, with an awesome sense... More

We enjoyed an absolutely superb short break at Lawcus Farm. Ann Marie and Mark provided a warm welcome, great hospitality, wonderful breakfast and lots of information about the farm, the animals and the environment. The boys had great fun visiting and feeding the animals. Our "Lookout" Room was spacious, tasteful and had it's own wooden balcony overlooking the fish ponds... More

Where do I start? Probably with the hospitality which was second to none. Mark and Ann Marie are wonderful hosts and truly make you feel like you are staying with friends. Next the location, a beautiful setting on the river which enchants you immediately. And the buildings, individually designed in such a clever way using all reclaimed and collected materials,... More

Beautiful farmhouse setting-- so peaceful. Annmarie is so sweet! Lovely to talk to. Mark is a great guy, showed us around the house he built from nothing. This is one of a handful of places I will be back. Wish we could've stayed longer.

I almost hate to write this review for fear that the Lawcus Farm Guest House will become so popular that I'll find it difficult to get a reservation next year. But let's face it--the secret is out: this is the best place to stay in all of Ireland. Unless, of course, you're into five-star resorts that isolate you from the... More

It's tough not to repeat the wonderful reviews that precede mine. We stayed in June 2014, regrettably, only for one night. Mark and Ann Marie are truly lovely people and very giving of their time and generous with sharing their home and beautiful farm. In particular, Mark gave us the great suggestion for a walk through the surrounding countryside, through... More

Mark and Anne Marie are the most wonderful welcoming hosts you could imagine. they have created a little Eden, and it is a delight to stay. Mark has tastefully used recycled materials everywhere and created an authentic one off house of character. They have a working smallholding with lot of animals, many tenderly nursed from rescue situations. The breakfast is... More

Really a one of a kind place and experience for us. As others have said its a working farm, so the kids got to feed a few animals and hold others. Anne Marie and Mark and both very warm and personable. They make a lot of effort to ensure to feel welcome and are at home. The place is wrapped... More

Ann Marie and Mark are wonderful hosts. They are friendly and gracious. Mark made us feel right at home and let us help feed the animals. They went out of their way to help accommodate us when we did not have a car to travel around. We hope to go back again in our next visit.

Definetely the best place we stayed during our holiday in Ireland. The first approach when you arrive is that you have found a quite place dipped in nature, then you meet the staff and you'll feel like being home. Mark and AnnMarie are absolutely great people, we loved to talk with them and ear their stories and learn how they... More
