The Lawcus farmhouse is off the beaten path of touristy places to stay, and this quaint little farm has stolen our hearts forever! Our one year old loved exploring the yard and chasing the cats, and the rooms were perfect for our family - we had a lot of space and our room had a kitchenette, which was perfect for... more

My husband and I spent seven nights in different places while traveling all over Ireland. We stayed in five-star Dromoland Castle as well as several other upscale locations. Lawcus Farm Guesthouse was our favorite. It is a beautiful Irish farm ran by an English family who fell in love with Ireland (who wouldn't?). They have several different types of friendly... more

There is a lot to love about Lawcus Farm including it's picture perfect setting, the host family, the activities, and animals. It made for a wonderful stay, I wish we could have stayed longer. My wife, three year old son and I traveled Ireland by rental car and stayed in a new place every night for 9 nights and Lawcus... more

The previous writer could have written our review. In early May, 2009, we stayed our first two nights in Ireland at Lawcus Farm. Mark and AnnMarie are exceptional in what they offer both in accommodations and personalities. They created unique experiences and memories for our first - not to be our last-trip to Ireland. Mark's hand drawn maps directed us... more

Anne Marie and Marc are absolutely wonderful people. He broke out a map for us after breakfast and circled and drew out exactly where to go and what to see on the non-tourist areas. Julie Ann and Robin who are also there guided us on where to have dinner and what local towns to drive thru. Felt like home and... more

Lawcus Farm was an absolute highlight of our trip and we wish we could have stayed longer. The beautiful restored stone farmhouse is surrounded by history, winding lanes, rolling hills, a rushing river, and a variety of wildlife (badgers, hedgehogs, otters, foxes, birds) and farm animals (pigs, sheep, horses, cows, chickens, fish, dogs and a cat). The owners Ann-Maree and... more

We stayed at Lawcus Farm at the end of May in the middle of a week long journey from Dublin to Shannon. This was by far my favorite place to stay. The accomodations surpass any expectation, and Mark and Ann-Marie are lovely! There are ruins within walking distance from here, and the scenery is beautiful! There's no question....this is the... more

This was the best B&B we visited in Ireland. It's located on a working farm, but the B&B rooms are remarkably stylish, spotless, and modern. The breakfast was delicious, cooked by the owner in his sunny patio kitchen as we chatted. The owner extensively renovated the place on his own. (He's English, and now has a charming redheaded Irish wife-to-be... more

I stayed here with my girlfriend for one night and I left wishing i'd taken another night off work to spend here. Beautifully restored stone farm house, decorated perfectly and very comfortable. We stayed in the double room and it was very clean and comfortable. Unfortunately a few of the local restaurants have closed recently so we had to travel... more

This was our favorite place we stayed during our entire trip to Ireland. It was quiet and out in the country. There were sheep, cows, horses, ducks, chickens and pigs; and the requisite cats and dogs to complete the experience. Mark and AnnMarie were so friendly and hospitable. They drew us maps on how to get to some magic places... more
