The Pembroke Hotel was great value for money. Huge modern room with Queen size bed, Plasma TV , in room ironing board which means not having to phone reception for one, in room security box and very big ensuite restroom. Very helpful staff and absolutly cracking bar . The one and only fault was with the breakfast which has a... more

Stayed for one night at the beginning of a driving holiday around the south of Ireland with my husband. Whilst the Reception staff admittedly are somewhat indifferent to the concept of 'service', we were checked in fairly quickly and were very impressed with our room: big, clean, nicely decorated , pristine bathroom, and most importantly good value for money with... more

Having read some reviews here we approached reception with some trepidation, armed with proof of booking etc, prepared for indifference. Imagine our surprise when, after brief courtesies, only moments later we were lounging in our clean, large warm room ready for our holiday to begin! We found all the staff to be traditional Irish-friendly and accommodating, thankfully not pushy/intrusive but... more

we booked this hotel for one night - sunday 25th may - for myself and my husband to have a stress free evening to ourselves. we arrived early and were greeted by John on reception- who we later found out was the manager. John had our room ready when we arrived "early" at 12.15- evening though check- in is not... more

We stayed in this hotel after the Irish May bank holiday weekend. We arrived at 2pm on the Monday. Form the outside the hotel looks fairly decent, but it lacked parking for us to unload our bags from the taxi. When we arrived there was no one on reception, the lights were dimmed and the bar/coffee shop was locked up.... more

Stayed here for weekend for a relaxing break. Was looking forward to a stay in a nice new hotel. Arrived at 7.30pm, checked in by John who was nice & friendly guy - lobby has no atmosphere, no music but decor is nice. Enquired about having some food there and he informed me they didnt have a restaurant and the... more

This hotel is fine- good location, nice rooms. The big problem is the staff. The young guy who checked me in was the rudest receptionist I've ever encountered. He couldn't even stretch to say hello when I came in. Then he briefly consulted the list of names for the group I was staying with, got it wrong and gave me... more

We were a group of 4 girl's looking for a central hotel at a reasonable rate for a girly weekend, and the Pembroke didn't disappoint. The hotel is perfectly located, right in the town centre, but away from the late night madness, so there was no noise issues. The hotel is new and nicely decorated. The bed's were comfy, but... more
