whatever type of holiday you are seeking from killkenny, lawlors guesthouse can provide for you. On arrival me and my partner were worried we'd chosen the wrong place but we called the hotel and the staff were extremely helpful, friendly and patient. there is a car park down the road a bit and it 2 euro for 24hours. then the... I have stayed at Lawlors at least one night a week for the past 18 months and have never been disappointed with the quality of any of the rooms and I've stayed in them all! The rooms are spacious, comfortable, spotlessly clean and the welcome from Miriam and John is second to none. I Feel I have to respond to... More

I must say that i most definately DISAGREE with the review "do not stay here". I have had the opportunity of staying in Lawlors Guesthouse on many occassions and each stay has been as perfect as the last. Lawlors is situated on John Street which is in the hub of the city centre with lots of bars and good places... More

I cannot believe this was the same place that I had read fairly good reviews in Trip Advisor. With so many other choices in Kilkenny do not stay here. Go stay in another town if you can't find reasonable accommodations. After reading the reviews of Lawlors in Kilkenny I thought that it would be a good place to stay. the... More

We were looking for pub accomodation, and we certainly got what we were looking for! The rooms are located on the floor above the pub itself. Rooms were clean and comfortable, rather spacious, all though a little bit worn - not that this bothered us. Checking in and out was no problem, the staff was helpful and forthcoming. The included... Stayed there a night on our trip through Ireland. The bar is pretty sweet and the bartender we had was very helpful on ideas for spots to hit. Stayed here to hit the Kilkenny Castle and town and was not disappointed. Lovely town! The B&B was nice and the layout is easy to navigate to come and go. More

Having arrived at Lawlors with my 11 year old son at around 6.30pm (after travelling from England via Cork) I was a little taken-a-back to be advised that food had stopped being served around 6pm. The bar area was nothing short of spectacular and the traditional appearance has been very well kept. Initial impressions where very good apart from the... More

I have just returned from a weekend away in Kilkenny. We stayed in Lawlor's Bar and Guesthouse and I have to say it was brilliant. The oldstyle bar was a delight and the bar staff were equally delightful. The bar food was gorgeous. The victorian style bedrooms were beautiful and really comfortable. John. Mirium and Emma were the perfect host... More

Lawlor's Bar and Guest House was a delightful introduction to the warmth and hospitality of the Irish people We stayed four days and John, Miriam and Emma Lawlor went above and beyond as hosts. They had incredible suggestions for visits beyond the typical touristy destinations, and their newly decorated rooms were immaculate. Just across the street from the train station,... More

This is a beautiful place to stay. The bar is fantastic, sitting there drinking a pint by the fire is like being taken back in time. The rooms were equally as nice with beautiful decor and furnishings. lovely girls working in the bar and it was also nice to see the owner taking the time to welcome us and have... More
