I have just returned from a weekend away in Kilkenny. We stayed in Lawlor's Bar and Guesthouse and I have to say it was brilliant. The oldstyle bar was a delight and the bar staff were equally delightful. The bar food was gorgeous. The victorian style bedrooms were beautiful and really comfortable. John. Mirium and Emma were the perfect host... more

Lawlor's Bar and Guest House was a delightful introduction to the warmth and hospitality of the Irish people We stayed four days and John, Miriam and Emma Lawlor went above and beyond as hosts. They had incredible suggestions for visits beyond the typical touristy destinations, and their newly decorated rooms were immaculate. Just across the street from the train station,... more

Bathroom was large, spotless and even included huge bath (on request) Breakfast was excellent, Irish brekkie was included and cereal etc provided. It was also nice to eat downstairs in the bar part as this gave us plenty of room. The Guesthouse itself... more
