We stayed here on Sunday & Monday nights Sept 21st & 22nd. The hospitality, efficiency & friendliness of all staff members is to be commended. Room was lovely, very clean with tea & coffee making facilities & also water supplied. Overall hotel was spotlessly clean. We also chose to eat here. They did a fantastic value menu for €25 PP... stayed here over the weekend. within minutes walk to Kilkenny city centre. Location very good. Room basic but had all the essentials and was nice that there was complimentary water. Had dinner in hotel restaurant - i ordered a veggie lasagne. It was not a great size portion and a little expensive to dine there overall. Breakfast was very good.... More

We entered the hotel through the bar after parking but they have a lovely reception area from the main street. Hotel looks really well from the outside, beautiful hanging baskets and well mantained. We stayed on a wednesday niteand later that day a notice was left on the base of the stairs to inform guests that a charity function would... More

After going to our room which was clean spacious and nicely decorated to went to the bar for a drink. The bar man Michael was friendly and chatty telling us about what was on in the town... More

Great location right on the main street and super close to the train station and all of the attractions in the city center. We had 32 steps up and down to our room. It was like an obstacle course. Not sure we ever went the same way to from it. Some of the rooms were a little old but full... More

It's a basic hotel; the accommodations, as the title suggests, are nothing to write home about. I had a single room and it was pretty small. The layout of the hotel is confusing, but going through the pub door late at night is kind of fun, I guess. As others have mentioned, the hotel is well-situated at the heart of... More

I stayed one night at the Kilford Arms in Kilkenny. The hotel is well located amongst many pubs and shops. However, the rooms appear to not have been renovated since the 1960s. The beds in the room had linens that despite clean were worn out. The carpets still had scents remaining from past guests--perhaps it was a smoking room once?... More
