A nice hotel which I would visit again, but perhaps on a better rate; great location on the riverfront & overlooked by the castle and right in the middle of the city. Restaurant was busy on Friday night; "spa" centre was a joke, as it consists of one room for one person-treatments at any time; the pool is nice though.... more

Stayed here with my 26 year old daughter on an overnight stay in Ireland after a 2.5 hour ferry from Wales. The hotel was in a beautiful location right on the banks of the river and it was overlooked by Kilkenny Castle. We were extremely pleased with the room which overlooked the courtyard. The beds were extremely comfortable. Breakfast was... more

we arrived on Thursday 12/18 after flying from Chicago overnight. You would expect us to be jet lagged and we were. I tell you this only so you understand that after staying here for three nights we were more tired due to lack of sleep than when we arrived. This hotel is much more interested in their events business than... more

I stayed in this hotel after having spent three nights in another four star hotel in Cork, I was specting to have the same level of attention to detail but I was a bit dissapointed, when we got to our room we noticed some weird stains in the carpet, they looked like blood so we asked to be asigned a... more

My wife and I stayed here for one Sunday night. On our first attempt to find the hotel, we passed it, as the entrance is a little hard to find until you are right at it. We missed it first time, no big deal, we just turned around. Once you park at this hotel, there is no need to drive... more

We were attending a friends wedding on the friday and decided to stay the night before so spent 2 night in the hotel. I found the hotel to be very expensive and would have stayed in a B&B when attending a wedding as you ususally only spend a few hours in the room but as we were staying 2 nights... more

My wife and I stayed at the River Court in early September for 3 nights. The room was adequate, but nothing special. Breakfast was buffet style and there was plenty of food available. Food was OK. Not bad, but not great. The bar is nice and often active, but not particularly cozy. The entire place was immaculately clean! more

i stayed at the river court hotel on the 7th and 8th September this year....its location is very central and right across from Kilkenny Castle..the entrance is a little strange initially ....as you drive in through an archway directly off the street....the staff were mostly friendly and helpful and a disinct lack of irish staff with the exception of the... more
