Our first B&B in Ireland was a wonderful experience. Helen and Tony couldn't have been more welcoming and friendly. The location was great- close enough to the city center to walk, but far enough away to enjoy a quiet place to sleep with the windows wide open. The bed was most comfortable, the breakfasts were mouth-watering, the lounge was warm... More

Helen & Tony are lovely hosts and very helpful with information of how to get around Kilkenny. The B&B is very clean and the bedroom was good, size-wise, but must agree with another reviewer that having the sink in the bedroom was different. Also above the sink is a cabinet that I hit my head on so beware if you're... More

We had a good experience with this B&B. Helen is very friendly, gives good advice on restaurants and where to park and has tea, coffee and little biscuits available in the guest living room. The B&B is located around 15 minutes walk from the town center, in a residential part of town so it's very calm for sleeping but still... More

The Dunboy was our first night in Ireland and we really enjoyed the location, room and the warmth of the hosts, Helen and her husband. It really feels like a home, as many other b&b in Ireland really are just familly owned and managed hotels. Very nice people, very nice place that would recommend anytime.

A stay at Helen's is like a night at ur grandmother's...in a good way! Helen was incredibly kind to our children, who weren't too sure about staying at a B&B (Mom! This is someome's house!) she visited with us in her sitting room and asked our kids what they'd like to see while visiting Kilkenny. She gave us lots of... More

Helen is a charming hostess in residential Kilkenny - close to town, far from the traffic and noise. Excellent room with all the necessities and a wonderful breakfast to start a day of fun in delightful Kilkenny.

Helen was an amazing hostess. The rooms are spacious and spotless. The Irish breakfast is my favorite. She offered advise on the local hot spots and value added stops. A short walk to down town. Loved it! Warm and friendly.

We were lucky enough to get a spot at this B&B at last minute as we arrived in the midst of a large music festival. The room was quite nice, with a double bed and a twin at the other side of the room with a window looking out over the front of the house. We paid about €35 each,... More

I stayed at Dunboy B&B already in 2006. Based on this experience I had to choose it again for our this year's journey. Helen is a great host and her selfmade citymap together with her special infos will guide you to the interesting places of Kilkenny quite well. It's a 10 minutes walk from Dunboy B&B to Kilkenny city centre... More

We stayed at Dunboy B & B in early September 2012. The very best thing about Dunboy was the warm welcome and friendly hospitality. Our thanks to Helen and Tony for their hospitality, and a special thank you to Helen for helping us with a couple of problems. We appreciated their advice and help in seeing the area and finding...
