I had a nice stay there.I have found the place trough a pedestrian who told me that there's a B&B. It's close to the train station and offers beautiful rooms with delicious breakfast with a beautiful view trough glass to a beaufiful garden.i loved the feeling of the house with it's decorations.thanks for the night

Oonaugh was a great hostess- very accommodating and good at anticipating what would make our stay most pleasant. This was our first B&B in Ireland (1st of 5) and a hard act to follow. Convenient location near walking distance of city center.

Had a nice one night stay, the B&B is in quite a convenient location to Kilkenny Main Street. The hosts were lovely and the bedroom very comfortable, beds were also comfy.. We had no hot water in the bathroom which was a shame. Breakfast was very tasty, there were even scones on offer!! Would stay again, as long as the... More

Oonagh was very warm and welcoming. Our room was comfortable, bathroom a little small but we had one. Breakfast was wonderful especially in the sunroom. Location was within walking distance to town. This was our first time in country and driving and we found it difficult finding the B&B with no street address or coordinates on the website to plug... More

Lovely hot breakfasts only downer would be no fried egg just scrambled for breakfast and the fact that last breakfast is as early as 9.30... More

Oonagh is a great advocate for Kilkenney. She gave us lots of tips for places to spend the day enjoying including music into the night. The breakfasts were delicious and we especially liked eating in the sunroom. The location made it great for leaving the car and walking the town.

This is not a bad B&B, it is just average. The double my wife and I booked was small and bathroom was small. There was a sewage type of smell coming from the bathroom so we had to keep the door shut at all times. The staff was great though, very pleasant and helpful. The walk downtown was very easy.... I called Oonagh on a Saturday afternoon from town and was pleased that she said she still had a room available. Unfortunately, only a standard double - private bath but no en suite. I told her I would check with my husband and call back, but that it might be a problem as we hadn't packed bathrobes, and she said,... More

We not only enjoyed our stay in Kilkenny, we certainly enjoyed our stay at the Carraig Rua B&B. Oonagh was very helpful with information on the town, dining places, etc. The breakfast was very good and plentiful. The room had a good bed, It was clean and a great accommodation for the price.
