The B&B is in a great location, away from the city buzz but at the same time only 10 minutes' walk. The room was fabulous and huge, the breakfast was perfectly Irish. The landlord called us a taxi every time we would go out and was very friendly. Would go back again!

We enjoyed our stay at Chaplins. The outside does not do this place justice. We found the room to be very nice and spacious and it had a nice en suite bathroom as well. The host was friendly and provided us information about the area.

After a long travel day, we arrived in Dublin and slowly made our way to Kilkenny. Our GPS helped us to fine Chaplins B&B. It was a good place to start our trip. The room was comfortable, the staff friendly, and it was an easy drive to get down into the city centre for some sightseeing. Best part was the... More

This B&B is in a good location for Kilkenny city. The family that run the place were very welcoming, as was Sparky the cat! The room was clean and comfortable and best of all was the hearty breakfast and fresh coffee in the morning. Would recommend.

I stayed in Chaplins B&B in Kilkenny recently, really great value. I tried a few hotels and found them expensive. In Chaplins I got a really friendly welcome, room was perfect, location ideal and really great breakfast. A definite if visiting Kilkenny again.

this was our last stop in our trip ... we've been touring Ireland and stayed at 6 b&b before that night ... we had such great expererience from previous ones with the rooms and the welcome we were very disappointed. we had to ring twice until our host came. The welcome was a little abrupt we were lead to our... More

I found this B&B very worn and dated. I am by no means a first class traveler but this place needs an overhaul. I want to be fair here and not comment on the food as we left so early that we skipped breakfast. We stayed only one night and the people seemed lovely enough but I will not be... More

We enjoyed our one night at Chaplins on our way through to Dublin. The building is none too flash from the outside but we were greeted warmly on a cold, wet afternoon and found our room to be very clean and comfortable.. Brekkie was great and our host had plenty of useful advice regarding our trip on to the UK.... More

Stayed for two nights. Nothing fancy, but a good sized, clean room. Good breakfast. Owners were friendly, but left us alone for the most part. Short walk to town.
