We enjoyed our one night at Chaplins on our way through to Dublin. The building is none too flash from the outside but we were greeted warmly on a cold, wet afternoon and found our room to be very clean and comfortable.. Brekkie was great and our host had plenty of useful advice regarding our trip on to the UK.... More

Stayed for two nights. Nothing fancy, but a good sized, clean room. Good breakfast. Owners were friendly, but left us alone for the most part. Short walk to town.

My group of friends was on a road trip of Ireland through Sceptre Tours. Chaplin's was our first on the road overnighter. First the coordinates for the GPS were wrong, we kept ending up at private residences. Someone in one of them was able to tell us where we were supposed to have been. An eighth of a mile away... My husband and I spent a weekend in Kilkenny recently. It is the most beautiful city and we found a gem of a B&B.called Chaplins. It was ideal location within walking distance of city centre . The rooms were spacious and comfortable with everything you needed in them. Beds were also extremely good. For breakfast there was a great choice... More

I attended a wedding in the Newpark and this was one of the B & B's on the list. It is a beautiful B & B about a two minute walk from the hotel and about eight minutes walk from the city center. The rooms were spotless with tea/coffee in the room. The breakfast in the morning was the last... More

Stayed in Chaplins B&B in Kilkenny early March when we attended a wedding in KIlkenny. It was really lovely , beautiful rooms , Great breakfast, great coffee!!! It is very well situated, near pubs restaurants and Kilkenny Golf Club, also the Newpark Hotel where we attended the wedding was just a few hundred yards away.

Stayed for one night as a single person. Room was comfortable and clean but small, and bathroom could have been cleaner. House is a veritable warren of steps, stairs, doors and corners although some rooms are on ground floor so anyone with mobility issues should check this out before staying. What was striking was the complete lack of interpersonal skills... More
