I've read all the reviews. Here's my take on Daly's. A big pro - location. Daly's is within walking distance of the majority of Kilkenny's must-see sights. Con - Delicate, tricky driving in from the street, through a narrow archway, that was clearly made for horses. Pro - safe, accessible area to park in courtyard. Con - aesthetic impressions of... more

This modest B&B is in the heart of the shopping district, and a short walk to hopping pubs and restaurants. The room was comfortable, with a tiny TV. Furnishings were basic, but sufficient for our ease. The price was the best we obtained anywhere in Ireland. I would recommend this B&B to a friend travelling on a budget, but not... more

Just back from a girls night out in Kilkenny, and we had a lovely stay in Dalys. A great location onJohns St, close to the pubs and nightclubs. Room was nice and big, even better the land lady gave us a cheaper rate when we told her we didnt want breakfast! Late check out is also available. Be warned though,... more

I have stayed here twice and been very happy both times, I think as someone already said alot of people are expecting a hotel, The rooms decor is a bit dated but they are very clean and comfortable. The prices and location are great and i have found the staff to be very nice. more

RE Daly's B&B, John St, Kilkenny Whilst I was speaking to the owner twice before the day of arrival, mentioning that we would be travelling down after work on the Friday, there was never once the mention that gates close at 9pm and no access is permitted to new arrivals after this time. On the day of our arrival, we... more

We stayed at Daly's B & B at the end of December. The weather was cool and wet. We enjoyed Doolin in the winter, no crowds. We arrived at Daly's B & B around 11am, exhausted after an all night flight into Shannon from Washington, DC. Susan allowed us to rest in the living room and served us tea while... more

I have stayed here many times & i have never had a bad experience. I think perhaps some people expect hotel service whilst only wishing to pay for B&B prices. It is family run and there are always people around who do actually smile, looks to me like they work hard too. I would recommend it for sure. more

Good points - great location and loads of parking, friendly Breakfast lady (was her first morning when we were there on the May b/h just gone.) Bad Points - the rooms are terrible with a capital T, so out dated decor with hideous colour co ordination. We stayed in the room right at the front of the house, the room... more
