Had to order breakfast when we walked in, choices being full Irish, continental or vegetarian. Who knows what we want the next morning on checking in? John advised the beds were all new, but the double was something I have in my dogs kennel and the single had two very very old mattresses on top of each other resembling a hammock... More

Myself & my husband had the pleasure of staying in this character filled B&B over the June holiday weekend (bonus for us it was a comedy festival weekend). The place is perfectly positioned and is walking distance of all main touristy spots in the city, there's a smashing restaurant down the road called 'Langton House' well worth a visit. The... More

location is perfect, quiet but very central. There is parking and its very easy to find. Friendly owners and room was very clean. However ...we were asked upon arrival what we would like for breakfast the following morning which I thought odd as I cannot predict how hungry I might be. But shockingly ,we were not asked again in the morning... More

Worst B&B I've ever stayed in. The hosts were rude, the room tiny, beds uncomfortable, the breakfast mediocre at best. Only good feature was it's proximity to downtown Kilkenny. We took a chance even though there were some poor reviews and now regret it. Don't take a chance! Plenty of other B&B's in Kilkenny where you'll get better treatment.

In the center if it all. Kilkenny castle and all sights are a short walk so you can park your car at the b&b and enjoy the town on foot. Good eating and shopping all around. Very spacious room with a good view of the castle. Helpful and accommodating hosts. Truly a 5-star experience.

My friend and I stayed at Celtic House for one night in April 2013. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Angela and John were warm and very cordial. They made us an excellent breakfast with the best bacon during our entire 8 day stay in Ireland. They also provided us with a map of Kilkenny and a dinner recommendation. We loved... More

My husband and I visited for one night. We were greeted by the owner John when we checked in and he asked us what type of breakfast we would like the next morning. This B&B is located on a quite street, just a couple minutes from city center. We walked late at night and felt safe. We had room #1... More

We had a really weird welcome at the Celtic House Bed & Breakfast, which is near the citycentre of Kilkenny. I rang the doorbell and a woman answered, than I realised that I was observed by a CCTV. I told her that we were searching a room and suddenly the door were opened bei a man. He told us the... More

Excellent b&b with charming hosts. We visited from Canada in August of 2012. Superb location on a quiet street just a few minutes walk from the town centre. Our room was on the top floor of the house and was quite spacious with a fine view. The private secure car park behind the house was most appreciated. Once we parked... More

Very good BB. We were greeted with a big smile and a map with directions to anything we were looking for in Kilkenny. Private parking, a quiet location that is an easy walk to all points of Kilkenny. Good breakfast and very friendly people- John even sprayed the off our very dirty car window.
