The only reason I give this hotel three stars is because of its location and it was cheap. Prob the most run down hotel have ever stayed in. Stayed for one night. Half way through my girlfriend getting her shower water started to lose heat and by the time I came to it the water was ice cold not nice... More

We paid the most money for these accommodations (DOUBLE) than we did for our most expensive place in Dublin or Lisbon. It was a Saturday night not that it mattered as we were sightseeing and not interested in the clubbing nightlife of Kilkenny. The hotel was a maze and we were in the back end of the hotel. The wall... More

This is an old building with all the infrastructural problems this entails.Stairs up and down ,narrow corridoors. The bedrooms are clean and comfortable but the public areas could do with upgrading. We had a lovely evening meal in the bar but the breakfast was very average particularly as the lady who served it gave the impression of not wanting to be there.All... I stayed in this Hotel, which is right in this vibrant City centre, for one night. Finding the car park at the rear of it is a little bit trickier. On entering the hotel from the rear you climb the stairs to reception. I didn't see any lifts for people with a disablement. Staff were very helpful and pleasant. My... More

It was very out dated and food we had in the bar on Thursday evening was bad bad the chef that cook that food should retired.every thing about this hotel is bad . but on a good note Kilkenny was brilliant. I never give out about hotels because I am working in the hotel trade since I was 14 years... More

Very good location, quality bar , food , rooms and parking. Its dated but very comfortable and quiet by comparison to other venues and hotels. Very best for value for what you get. Will definitely be back. Chill here party elsewhere.

This hotel is old but is clean and comfortable. The breakfast and main course we had as part of the deal were good quality. The barman was very friendly and we got a good night's sleep as the bed was comfortable.

Stayed 1 night and the hotel has old world charm, and benefits from excellent location in the city. Everything within walking distance. Staff were lovely & our waiter in the restaurant was so nice and friendly and the service was excellent . He even offered to make my coffee a little stronger with more beans now that's good service !... More

Hotel is all vintage style and is fab. Some floors uneven and creaky but it added and only made it seems better. All large mirrors in halls and old chairs and deer heads really make it. The hotel is literally a min walk to city centre. Had a drink on bar last night and was lovely and quiet as city... More

Seemed quite basic. And old fashioned, it would seem. But the bed was lovely. And the night porter was a gem and really made us feel at home. Would highly recommend for a break. Nice central location. The price was very reasonable. In my opinion it was a hidden gem.
