We stayed here on a weekend break. The hotel is quite old fashioned but very clean and comfortable. All the staff were lovely and helpful. Hotel has a good sized car park and is close to all the bars, clubs, restaurants and local attractions eg the castle. Would recommend for a weekend break! Breakfast was also yummy!

We stayed in this hotel as we did not book any accommodation for Kilkenny and we arrived on a Saturday so all the B&Bs were taken. We found this hotel and they had a room for the night so we just took it. It was OK, there was parking, a restaurant, a bar and walking distance to Kilkenny Castle. I... More

Stayed here for 2 nights. Very old-fashioned but in the best possible way! Steeped in history, it is a very apt choice for visiting the medieval city. Great value for money. All the staff were very welcoming and helpful. And the food in the restaurant was superb. Had a brilliant 2 days in city - and really enjoyed our stay... More

This hotel is a bit of a Fawlty Towers..we booked a triple room ..room had a double and a single bed it wasn't ideal but was ok. They have no lift and its confusing to get around. Also we were given only 2 keys between 3 people and some of our party were given only 1 key between 2 people.... More

This hotel is very underestimated, it is a delightful elegant piece of history nestled in a Viking city. The staff are extremely friendly and when we requested some local information they went beyond the call of duty to print the relevant information for us within minutes. The food is outstanding and affordable. The rooms are massive, the bathrooms are equally... More

Very close to Kilkenny Castle, restaurants and shopping. Free parking as well. Older hotel with many stairways and corridors. No lift so luggage was hard to drag around. Mildly friendly staff. Lovely dining room and nice breakfast. If u pack light and don't stay in the room much, then this is the place for you.

This "old style" hotel is right in the centre of Kilkenny, so is convenient for everything. It's traditional décor may not suit everyone, but rooms have all the amenities you need. There is a bar and restaurant on the ground floor. Very friendly staff. Overall, a good choice for a central hotel. No faults at all. I'd definitely book here... More
