We stayed at this Townhouse only for one night. It is good to know that there is no elevators at this townhouse so you might have a problem if you are travelling heavy. There is quite some stairs and its rather narrow - depending on which floor the room is situated. In our case the room was quite good and... More

What an ideal location.. Great for a night out in Kilkenny with friends. We came for the Cat Laughs! Rooms are a bit small but very clean & tidy. Staff were friendly & helpful. Really enjoyed weekend in Kilkenny & would definitely stay here again.

Good location, clean room but a lot of moisture on the walls. The noise from the other rooms is easily heared in ours, not too private. The price was good, and the location is perfect. There was nobody at the reception after 10pm

Unfortunately I'm writing this review as we stay here. We prepaid for two nights so we're stuck. Our first room was tiny, and upon closer inspection, the shower and bathroom was filthy and in terrible disrepair. We wouldnt let our 5 year old go anywhere barefoot we were that concerned. We moved to another room where the bed frame squeaks... More

Lovely charming little place to stay. Rooms nice and clean, fairly standard but cute. The only fault I'd have would be that they don't do breakfast. Also we requested a double room and we got two very small single beds pushed together. A bit uncomfortable.

Great location opposite castle in town and friendly staff. However room was tiny (opening the door half way hit the bed), no kettle, view of air conditioning units and roof, hens and stags wandering corridors at 3am. Then they charge 10eur pp for breakfast and 10eur for parking. Cheeky

I booked 2 triple rooms for mccourts early February to stay the 7th March. When yhe first half of our group arrived the booking could not be found(staff error) they were very apologetic and luckily they found us a place right across the road for less money than we had originally booked mccourts for. They told us to come back... More

Not impressed! Though a great location, the hotel leaves alot to be desired. Had to call the owner to get let in. Trash was left in the hallway leaving a horrible stench! Don't stay here! The owner also couldn't recommend a good restaurant close. I would never stay here again. The rooms were bare and not comfortable at all!
