My wife and I stayed 1 night of our 7-night stay in Ireland at the Castlefield B&B in September of 2012. This was probably our most enjoyable overnight stay in Ireland. Our plan was to leave Killarney in the morning and see Blarney Castle before touring Waterford Crystal in the afternoon. We had a flight out of Dublin the following... More

This B&B could not have been nicer - the rooms were lovely and spacious, very clean, and comfortable. The owners were the most friendly people too. They made us feel so comfortable, and even dropped us into the town one evening rather than letting us get a taxi. I would recommend it to anyone, and I will definitely stay here... More

Rooms, service, our view of the river, the power shower and the hospitality were all faultless. Can't believe the reasonable price. Perfect for a wedding in the Lyrath. €10 taxi home. Our hosts offered to drop us up. Outstanding

We were fortunate enough to stay here with Joan & Stuart on our recent trip to Ireland. Joan & Stuart are the most gracious, helpful, warm and friendly people we've had the good fortune to meet!!! That aside, the ensuite rooms are modern, spacious, well appointed and IMMACULATE!! Joan's breakfasts are superb. 5 stars is not enough! We cannot wait... More

Myself and my boyfriend stayed at Castlefield as we had a friend's 30th birthday in Kilkenny town and all I can stay is wow! Joan and Stuart couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. The room was spotless, the view was beautiful from our room and the breakfast the next morning just delicious. On two occassions Joan/Stuart gave us lifts... More

Above and beyond any expectations I could have had, simply put Joan and Stuart saved our trip to Ireland. After a very rocky first day, with driving on the opposite side of the road, to hitting a curb on the M1 and blowing 2 tires and a rim, no mobile phone, a satellite navigator (Garmin GPS) that did not work... A fantastic b&b with a level of service not often found these days. Stuart was genuinely helpful and really went above and beyond, mine was a very quick stay but i will certainly be returning. Can't recommend them any higher. Faultless.

This is really the best b&b I have ever stayed in. Joan and Stuart are perfect hosts and very accomadating. Such nice people and very welcoming. I stayed here as I had a wedding in the Lyrath which is very close by and is ideal for anyone who has a wedding there. Joan gave me a lift to the hotel... More

I found this really MOST satisfactory B and B in Failte Ireland in Dublin the staff member had stayed there and recommended it.Joan and Stuart Knapps could not be nicer hosts...I arrived one evening not sure of the conference venue I was to attend and immediately Stuart and myself reconnoitered the route taking in a tour of the Kilkenny resturants...
