Myself and my boyfriend had the worst experience at this hostel ever! Even though there were bed sheets drying on the banisters on every floor, nothing seemed too bad on arrival. A staff member let us into our private room on the top floor and we quickly got ready to attend a wedding. Although the room had a strong smell... More

Finnegan's Holiday Hostel made our night in Tralee during our trip to Kerry turn out catastrophically. Kenmare and Dingle are great places if visiting Kerry, not Finnegan's Hostel!!! Succeeding booking our room online from Dingle we arrived to Finnegan's restaurant (next door to the hostel) where we were escorted upstairs to reception. Another member of staff proceeded to show us... More

On arrival the owner stated a different price to our printed reservation. We tried to reason with her with no luck and were foolish enough to pay the asked price. We were shown to a room that smelled of paint really badly -after ten minutes in the room we felt lightheaded and dizzy. Left the fan in the toilet running... More

The code we were given to gain entry didn't work but luckily there was another patron to let us in.our room had dirty sheets, there was glass missing in the window which had no curtains or blinds, the shower didn't operate properly as there was no hot water and only a trickle came out. In the middle of the night... More

Awful place.. Holes in the window, no curtains, stains on the bed sheets.. No locks on the doors. People coming in and out of the room during the night. Shocker of a place. Certainly will not be coming back!!!

As some other reviews have already stated it seems that the love and care of this three-fold business is going into the food part and not the people part. Travelling on a budget, myself and my sister like cooking for ourselves. However, the kitchen offered to us after half six, while very beautiful, had no utensils other then cutlery and... More

AVOID Booking here! The main focus seems to be placed on the Other TWO Businesses which operate both at Basement and on the Ground Floor levels of the premises. Finnegan's was completely unaware of my Booking when I first arrived to a whole pile of confusion and I almost tripped over several bags of coal and other clutter just abandoned... More
