The building is old and charming, the staff was very polite, nice and helpful, the breakfast was good (excellent home-made scones) and they lit the firesite only for us. When we were first guided into a double room and realized after accepting that the bed would be too small for a non-couple, they gave us another room. In the evening... More

Absolutely loved this old georgian building and gorgeous furniture - A young foreign lovely girl checked me and nice relaxed atmosphere - double bedroom a real surprise and treat - the Samuel Beckett room overlooking the park and the lovely Denny Street - this is hotel standard - not hostel standard but hostel prices (€30 for a single room!!!) -... Stayed here as a result of a last minute planned night out in Tralee with some friends I hadn't seen in ages. As it was the June bank holiday weekend there was literally no other accommodation available, so we booked this place so as not to miss our catchup with our friends. When you first walk into this building it's... More

They staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. The owner did everything to make us feel welcome and look after our every need. The breakfast was lovely, as were all other meals. Perfectly located for nearby day trips. Look forward to being back again.

I wish to pay tribute to the character of both the building and the staff. The hostel was ideal for our requirements with beautiful food and professional staff at a keen price. We will be back for our 10th visit next year

One good night's sleep before I'm off to hike the Dingle Way. That's what I thought... I woke up at about 2 o'clock as I couldn't stand the itching any more. Looked at my bed with the flashlight of my phone and wanted to scream. Fleas were parading everywhere, some blood smudges already from my twisting and turning and not... More

We stayed here for a night in August 2014 to attend a post-wedding get-together at a pub in Tralee. The hostel was fine, although the hanging drying laundry on the bannisters was a little off-putting and the room was not particulalry clean, especially the shower. The service was OK, although the woman who checked us in seemed quite disorganised and... More

We all stayed at finnegans and it was really nice. Even sheets hanging off the bannister gave it a homely feel . The owner was extremely nice perhaps slightly overworked, and her tearooms were clean and eccentric which we liked . Our breakfast which was included in the price was fab and the children adored the homemade waffles and cream... More

Very disorganised. Made booking two months earlier, yet the owner did not have a clue what I had booked. In fact, two weeks after my booking the owner rang to say that she did not have room for me despite rooms still being available online. I had made three bookings as I had to confirm dates and wanted to make... More

When I arrived, the owner demanded that I pay right away, so handed over 150€ for 3 nights in a private room. As I walked up the stairs, towels and sheets were hung all over the banisters and furniture in the sitting room, which was the same every single day. My room had no pillowcases or towels. Later on when... More
