Had to pay when checking in. Room was old fashioned the bed was very uncomfortable no bath the worst hotel I have stayed in. Breakfast was terrible. I would not stay there again. As for the car park you would need to be Sterling Moss to get in and out of it.

We admittedly booked our room quite late but what we got was not really acceptable for the price. The room itself was small, cheaply furnished and a far cry from the pictures on the hotel's website. Worst of all was the huge extractor fan right outside the window which made a quite oppressive noise albeit that it was switched off... More

Have stayed at the Imperial several times, the accommodation is lovely and the staff are so friendly. Food on the bar is excellent can recommend the chicken and goats cheese salad, credit to Martin and his excellent staff members

Eat here recently in the bar and enjoyed it very much. Food good, service excellent and the young waiter really engaged with everyone. I Would recommmend it as a good place to eat in the centre of the town

I stayed at the Imperial Hotel recently and was very impressed by the friendly staff and quality of food served. The rooms were clean and comfortable. A very good, central location and would recommend it.

I was recently booked into the imperial for two short stays and would not hesitate to recommend this hotel. Rooms are clean and warm, excellent breakfast cooked to order and a good evening menu in the bar. The highlight of my stay would be how friendly the staff were in the hotel with nothing being too much trouble.

The most helpful and friendly staff make a stay in the Imperial a great experience. Good sized clean rooms, great food served with a smile. Quaint in an old fashioned way but too many modern hotels have no authenticity - the Imperial has that old fashioned friendliness that is sadly lacking in so many places nowadays. Will definitely be back
