The Ballyseede is absolutely a lovely place to stay. The downstairs bar is AMAZING and quite comforting. We enjoyed a quite relaxing afternoon there, looking at on the beautiful countryside, drinking whiskey and ginger ale and relaxing. It was an excellent start to our Ireland adventure and is highly recommended!

My wife and I spent a night here on our whirlwind tour of the south and west of Ireland. The castle is charming and the grounds are beautiful. Our room was spotless and well-appointed and the bathroom was recently redone. Pay as you go internet access allowed us to check in on things back home as well. Outside, the vines... More

My daughter and I were traveling through southern Ireland, and Ballyseede was one of our stays. We loved it! We were greeted by Arthur the Irish wolfhound, who stands waist-high. Our room was beatiful with comfy beds. Heated towel bar in the bathroom! Only drawbacks, lighting wasn't adequate for reading and the TV was tiny. We ate in the restaurant... More

For the most part we were pleased with the Ballyseede Hotel. The building itself was beautiful, and our room was large with many great amenities. However, the timing of our stay was poor. A funeral party was staying at the hotel as well. They had travelled from England for the funeral, so there were many family and friends of the... More

My husband and I stayed in this beautiful old castle on our first night in Ireland. It was very charming--the room (Rodger's room) was very large and nicely decorated. The bathroom was huge and the view from our room was very nice. We ate dinner in the dining room and it was marvelous. The wait staff was very attentive and... More

We booked Ballyseede for our honeymoon night. We wanted to stay in a castle but all the others were way too expensive. While I wouldn't say this is what I envisioned for a castle (it's more like a really nice, large estate), I couldn't be more pleased! We got in at 6am and got into Tralee around 9 am, completely...
