We stayed at Ballyseede for 4 nights in early July and really enjoyed the experience. The staff is really fantastic and the rooms were very nice as well. We did have water pressure problems for two days while we were there, but the rest of the experience was great. The only two recommendations I have are toi avoid the rooms... more

Nice castle with good food at breakfast and dinner. Try to avoid getting the rooms in the cellar with ugly views to staircases or the parking lot. “Rodgers” room in the first floor is quite acceptable. Make-up facilities for ladies could be upgraded. more

We recently got married in Ballyseede Castle, Tralee and we couldn't have picked a better venue. My partner is South African and we wanted a venue that depicted true Irish origin, where better than a castle. From the second we arrived at the hotel, we were treated outstandingly. When we got out our of our wedding car, the waitress was... more

My family arrived at Shannon Airport in the early morning. After a short drive, we arrived at the Castle around 9 or so. Upon checking in, we were welcomed to have breakfast and to freshen up before we went sightseeing (I guess fatigue must have showed on our faces). The staff couldn't have been nicer - always asking if we... more

Ballyseede is close to the Ring of Kerry. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful. Love the dogs and mules! No elevator so pack light or have a staff carry the bags. The staff are great. Rooms need to be redone as ours showed much wear. I'd stay here again but this is not the best "castle" hotel in Ireland. more

We visited Ireland in June 2009. We really enjoyed our stay at the castle. The room was very large with 2 comfortable beds. The room contained a nice wood armoire and tables along with a red velvet couch and chairs. The curtains were a loud floral print. There was no A/C in the room. The breakfast was classier than the... more

On our recent vacation in Ireland we had the distinct pleasure of staying 2 nights at Ballyseede Castle manor house. I think this was almost the highlight of our trip. We had one of the front facing rooms with the rounded windows....large bed, flat screen tv, WONDERFUL bathtub! Arthur the wolfhound was sweet, and Einstein the pebble chasing terrier was... more

We pre-booked one night at Ballyseede Castle through myguideireland. After reviewing our itinerary, we decided to change the night of our stay to one day later. We rebooked through myguideireland and received a new confirmation from them, not the hotel. When we arrived at Ballyseede after 6 hours of driving, we saw that a wedding party was taking place and... more

Ballyseede Castle doesn't now what it want s to be; a top-of-the-range destination for fine dining and quality accommodation or a venue for large, noisy drinking groups. The management seem not to be concerned with quality service but with turning a quick buck, we will never darken their door again. First, to be positive. Ballyseede Castle does convey the castle... more
