With its manicured gardens, amazing 26 bedrooms each with their own themes, cosy and classy sitting rooms with fireplace in all 3 rooms, the Ballyseede castle is a must for anyone visiting Ireland. The hotel is large and magnificent! An elegant castle, oozing class and history in today's modern world. After a 5 week trip around Europe, I definitely welcomed... More

We stayed her for a nite en route to Dublin. BEAUTIFUL!!! Room was much larger than anything I needed. (2 people with a room that had two twins and a king size bed). Gorgeous hotel. We were also delighted to see both "Higgins" and "Einstein" be friendly dogs that had room at the inn making our stay even better.

Family of 4 stayed at the castle August 14th 2014. Beautiful grounds .PHENOMENAL staff! Joe & Esther made our stay memorable with their incredible wit & stories of Joe's golfing prowess (!!). Stayed in new lodge building - beautiful. HUGE room that was perfect for 4. Breakfast was the best during our 2 week stay in Ireland. Our 12 yr... More

Ballyseede Castle is everything you'd expect from a country hotel. Warm welcome, friendly helpful staff, big breakfasts, comfortable rooms, nice gardens and quiet and peaceful. We stayed one night and had dinner in the bar which is good also and not expensive. Ask for room 301 which is large and faces onto the rear garden.

I very recently had my wedding at Ballyseede Castle and i can't praise them enough. From the moment we arrived at the castle we were made so welcome. Every staff member we met was so friendly and helpful, when my wedding dress and bridesmaid dresses still had creases the morning of the wedding from traveling up from Cork they arranged... More

We were travelling through Ireland with two 13 year old's and a 5 year old who wanted nothing more than to stay in a real castle. We unfortunately got to the castle later in the day,we were shown our room which was in the basement area. It smelled rather musty with the window open I'm assuming to air it out.... More

Ok, I want to start this review by saying, this is NOT a castle. It is a mansion built on the crumbling remains of a castle from the 1500s. That being said, it is a very nice hotel. Our room was the Allingham room with four poster bed, claw foot bathtub right in the bedroom and a separate bathroom with... More

We spent 10 days in Ireland but only two days at the Ballyseede Castle. What a mistake. Our stay at the castle was fantastic. The rooms, the food and the service was excellent. The castle was quite, clean and had a certain romance about it. We actually spent a whole day at the castle rather than site seeing. I think I... We loved our stay here -- we stayed in the lodge, which is less than a quarter mile from the castle. The pub in the castle is friendly and the bar tender is a great host. The Lodge room was so comfortable and all the details were perfect.
