Great cosy Hostel right in the town centre. The rooms were very welcoming The bathrooms were also well kept and the staff were great. The owner in particular was extremely helpful and went above and beyond. The price was great too. Pros - Town Centre, Free Wifi, Free Breakfast, Clean rooms/bathrooms, Staff, Lockers

The hostel is located on the main street (road) of Tralee. It is surrounded by many fast food places and a big parking space. The rooms are quite small but they are clean and very well isolated. They have TV and free wifi. Breakfast is quite basic but enough. The owner was very nice and gave us very good tips... More

We only spent one night here but it was great. Smack bang in the middle of town, friendly owners and cost next to nothing. Basic but very good. All the bars and takeaways are only a stones throw away. Tea coffee and a selection of cereals available for breakfast. All in all very good value.

My partner and I arrived with our 3 kids 10, 5, and a baby, Stephen welcomed us and was extremely helpful with the luggage and buggy, and was very nice and had a laugh with the kids. The room had 2 double bunks and 1 single -maybe a tad small for 5 people but was very comfy and clean.Tea/coffee cereal... More

Located just near the lovely city park and the museum the castle hostels is a no-frills bargain hostel offering dorms of 4, 8, as well as à few doubles. From what owner Stephen said, it can welcome about 40 people. We stayed in a 4bed dorm, rather small but ok, the shower was a little worn-out but clean. The 2... More

We arrived on Sunday 5 August 2012, were warmly greeted by the owner, given loads of helpful local information, a basic spotlessly clean en-suite room with TV & SUCH a comfortable bed. Continental breakfast is included in the price, & well-equipped modern clean kitchen if you want to cook more food. As hostels in the area go, this one is... More

Aileen and Stephen are helpful and informative hosts. They will bend over backwards to make you welcome. They are sympathetic to tired, wet bicyclists and provide safe, accessible storage for your bikes and gear. The rooms are clean with towels provided. Breakfast is also supplied along with many extras such as milk, coffee, sugar, bread for toast and condiments ....... More

No major complaints about this hostel, and it has some really good points. On our first night, we found that the room we had taken was double-booked, so we were given a four-bed dorm to ourselves instead. (I didn't like the way the owner said that we wouldn't be charged extra for the privilege!) However, we didn't mind, as all... More

Stayed here for two nights before starting our hike on the Dingle Way and two more after the hike. Steve is a great host. He agreed to store our luggage for us while we hiked the Dingle Way. Rooms are slightly cramped but unless you plan to stay in your room all day it's not an issue. The dining area... More
